This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It was over priced for what it is. You can stay at the Manderin Oriental in Washington DC on a weekend for less money than we paid during a week day. The Edge is not worth it. We stayed in Room 5. It was the tackiest room I have ever seen. The ceiling had Chinese lanterns (I actually had the same lanterns handing from a ball room at my wedding). These lanterns made the ceiling closed in at 6 feet. Against fire code, my husbands head kept bumping into them. Beautiful view of bay, but small balcony with cheap uncomfortable chairs. The windows in room did not open. And the whole vibe was very un-beachy. Our beach house is under construction which is why we were staying in a hotel. We are VERY familiar with beaches between Delaware and Maryland and this place treated us like criminals. I have never stayed in a hotel that makes you pay for stay upfront. Usually you pay at check out. Also the do not disturb sign kept blowing off the door. Reception desk said it was because it was windy. You would think the Fagers would come up with a better solution for keeping sign from blowing away. Our safe was broken and took 24 hrs to fix.
