This is a nice resort, the staff were very professional, kind and patient. The only complaint that I have was the cleanliness of the studio we stayed in. The sheets on the sofa bed were dirty and the floor under the sofa was dirty with chips and candy. We called and the problem was taken care of promptly. Beautiful view of the bay.

The room, including the bathroom, was not in good shape. The toilet didn't flush right, lamps were loose, etc. I've certainly been to worse, but for the money it was very disappointing. Tried it once and won't go back.

We normally select a one bdrm or two bdrm suite for our stay. This was the first time we stayed in a standard studio. Our expectations were far exceeded when compared to a standard hotel room. The unit was very spacious with a king size bed and a sleep sofa. The kitchen facilities are adequate for warming and fixing small quick meals. The bathroom had a jacuzzi. The unit and other facilities very clean throughout. Coconut Malorie has excersize equipment and a library / game room on the top floor. From there you can view the sunset. Overall, it turned out to be great value !!

We love staying here due to the view of the bay, and being adjacent to Fager's for great food, drinks and atmosphere. The rooms have a medium sized refrigerator, 2-burner stovetop and microwave, kitchen linens/dishwashing liquid and limited cookware, so if staying for more than a weekend, we find the kitchen convenient for a quick breakfast or lunch. Coffee available in room, or downstairs for the entire day.
The rooms have beautiful Mexican floor tile (dog prints in the terra cotta tile), large comfy beds (very attractive décor), fold out sofa, dining room table, wi fi in room and lobby (also computer and printer downstairs), hair dryer, makeup remover pads. Much more roomy than a typical hotel room.
Upkeep can use some attention...smoke alarm chirping due to low battery, light bulb out in magnified make up mirror, tub drain a little slow...small things, but hotel staff should be alerted by housekeeping of such needs vs. waiting for guests to inform them. Maintenance was attentive immediately, however.
Despite a little wear and tear in the rooms, everything was clean. We really enjoy the look of the room and lobby, love the view out over the bay, the walking bridges over the marsh to Fager's, and it's location (just off Rt. 90 bridge). Will be returning after 4th time there.

Room Tip: Request a view of the bay.

We found a great Groupon deal and spent 4 nights here over NYE in a standard studio. We thought the room was lovely! Just a few minor complaints: the internet service sucks - bad. That was the main problem. Also some of the vanity lights were loose and hanging off the wall which made it look a tad old but they all worked and I very much liked the setup. The bathroom is very spacious and I loved the whirlpool jets. I just wish the tub was oval shaped instead of the standard narrow rectangle. There were a few long female hairs scattered around the bathroom floor but otherwise we had no problems with cleanliness, the room was very clean and no funny smells. Noise was not an issue although I suppose it is probably noisier in the summer when more people are visiting and the pool is open. The kitchenette could use a tad bit of counter space but I enjoyed having a full stove top and a full sized fridge and freezer. We thought the mattress was a bit firm and uncomfy but we are used to a very soft pillow top mattress so I'm sure it is a great mattress for people who prefer firmer beds. All the linens were clean and fresh and we each had a nightstand. The DVD player was excellent because normally in hotels you're just stuck with whatever happens to be on TV. The balcony is standing room only, as advertised, but it allows lovely sunset views over the bay. The fountain inside the lobby is beautiful and the front desk staff were so nice and helpful! Housekeeping was very friendly and helpful as well. Room service would be an excellent addition but there were still plenty of places to eat nearby. Overall we had a wonderful time and despite the poor internet service and our other few minor complaints, we feel as though we got an excellent deal and we will definitely be staying here again.

We loved the soak JACUZZI tub !
Don't listen to some of the bad reviews...some people are never happy... no matter what you do.
The front desk clerks all know their business and are polite and professional. Nick was MOST helpful and had great knowledge.
2 Tv's meant I could watch what I wanted and my hubby got to watch sports !
Location is just perfect .....you can walk to a nice dinner at the Fager's Island restaurant and have a few cocktails in a very tropical setting.
Nice dining area, living room has a pull out sofa, and the bedroom queen sized bed was very comfortable !
I would stay here again ~ it's CLEAN, SAFE, and in a great location !

Room Tip: Top floors have vaulted ceilings ~ makes it feel much bigger ! Walk to the beach...it's just a...

Stayed at Coconut Malorie during Thanksgiving weekend (snatched a deal on Groupon). Somehow I completely forgot to check out TripAdvisor prior to booking; when I saw the reviews, I was terrified, but overall, the hotel was nearly not as bad as I expected it to be.

Pros: big room, certainly not as dirty as described by other reviewers. One of the days during our stay was very cold, so we stayed in; the room was big enough for two people not to step on each other's toes. Everything was as advertised. Beautiful bay view. Staff was helpful. Bed was comfortable. Nice size bathroom. The hotel is in the middle of the strip, so it was convenient to get to downtown OC and Delaware.

Cons: if you are looking for luxury, this is not it. The hotel could certainly benefit from a series of renovations. Also, the blow drier in the bathroom was broken, but the manager let me use it in another room, which was nice of her.
