Lista's Grill is consistently the best restaurant in Pasadena, without exception. Their menu features a great variety of American and Southwest food (ie, NOT Mexican or Tex-Mex) including rib-eye steaks, fresh seafood and fish, Maryland crab cakes, garlic shrimp, burgers, burritos, fajitas, and more. Our favorites are the steak fajita burrito "Christmas-style" (with red and green chile) and the Pecan Encrusted Salmon. We also love their desserts with our favorites being Kahlua chocolate cake and pumpkin bread pudding.

Lista's decor is warm and cheery with a lot of southwest artwork from Colorado and New Mexico. Most of the seating is booths and tables, but there is also a small bar area. We mostly dine at Lista's as a couple, but we've also taken several large parties there, and everyone had always raved about their food. Give them a try... you won't regret it!

Good food, good service, but not for families with small children. They have a children's menu but no high chairs, slings, or booster seats.

Hi, Mike. Thank you for your positive review! We are very glad that you enjoyed your visit and hope you will return soon and often. While we regret that our cozy restaurant does not afford us the aisle space to offer high chairs, we certainly welcome parents of small children to bring their own child seat if required. Rest assured, we seat dozens of small children each evening that we are open, and love our tiny Lista's customers!

We love Lista's! It's been around a while, but we've been eating there since we moved back to the area about 4 years ago. The owners recognize us when we come in and they are always so helpful. The decor is kitchy and you never quite know what music you'll hear out of the speakers, but that's all part of its charm!

As soon as you sit down, start on a glass, half-carafe, or pitcher of their red sangria - it is awesome! We love their guacamole as well - it comes with classic tortilla chips & their housemade fried tortillas, which are so yummy. Their cajun cream of crab soup is really good but has quite a spicy kick.

My husband's favorites are the burritos - he generally switches between the cowboy burrito ($16.50) and THE Burrito ($16.50) but recently he tried the stacked enchiladas ($17.50) with green chile salsa & said he'd definitely be ordering it again. My favorites are the crab & asparagus enchiladas ($18.50) and the shrimp fajitas ($21.50). The shrimp fajitas might be the absolute best Mexican entree I've ever eaten. So good, I have trouble ordering anything else there.

They almost always have incredible-looking specials including desserts. The last night they were here, they had banana pudding, which was devoured by several people at our table. We also got the fried ice cream. YUM!

To touch on a few other comments: This restaurant DOES NOT offer high chairs or booster seats. Their reasons include customer safety and ease of traffic. I can certainly see why high chairs wouldn't be safe there in the aisles because it's a small & crowded restaurant. However, we have been bringing our daughter to Lista's since she was born. The owners are always delighted to see her, and they did their best to seat us in booths when she was in her infant car seat. As she got older, we would bring the lobster clip-on seat, and it clipped right onto the the table. Now at 21 months, our daughter just sits on the booth with us. The tables are low enough to make it ok. If your child can't sit still for a meal outside of a high chair, then this might not be the place for you. However, we appreciate the opportunity to teach our toddler about eating 'big-girl style' and getting through a meal with appropriate behavior. At our last meal there, it was past our daughter's bed time & she started getting a little fussy. Our sweet server Iris just held her arms out & took our daughter on a little tour of the restaurant. Lista's is family friendly - just come prepared with a booster or clip-on chair if you need one.

In conclusion - don't miss Lista's! Great food, awesome service. One of our favorites!!!

We have been going here for over 4 years about once a month. Family operated which would explain the great service and excellent food!

Don't misunderstand this isn't a bad place by any means!! It's just not great!! But the prices are a bit on the steep side!!
Service was pretty good the deco and atmosphere was cool!! But again the good just wasn't enough to drag me back in!! However the sign out front which I pass on a regular basis is fantastic, they always have witty sayings that make us giggle!!
