My wife and I stayed for a week (6 nights) to visit relatives in the area. We were both a little skeptical of the location when we drove up. The hotel is near I-95 and next to a truck stop. However, we had a great week! The staff were friendly, the breakfast bar was clean and well-stocked, and the room was clean. There was also a small library on the second floor which added a nice touch. Best of all, it was actually quiet, in spite of the location. We will be staying again next year.

We were taking a long road trip to NC from NJ and need to take a stop for the night after suffering two hours traffic at Delaware. The hotel was good for the price. The desk attendant was nice to tell us that the hotel was under construction and it is a truck stop. That did not bother us since we are ready to get rest and left early. The room was very clean and comes with refrigirator. That was nice! The room is standard and breakfast item very good. I would recommend for a neccessary stop on the road but not for a long stay!

Clean rooms with average amenities. The furniture and bedspreads are definitely dated. They need replacing. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.

Background: Twice a year I help my mother drive from Maine to Florida and back. We stop along I-95 for two nights. We stop one night in Santee, SC and one night in Perryville, MD.

Overall, this motel is a decent value and is clean enough.

My only complaint is that when a room is clearly marked as nonsmoking--it should be kept nonsmoking!

The room (room 117) smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that our clothes and hair still smelled of smoke the next day!

Why not install the same type of smoke detectors found in airplane lavatories in nonsmoking motel/hotel rooms? This would help keep these rooms clean and fresh.

At least the management made a small concession in the rate paid. Next time we'll be sure to ask for a room switch if we have this problem again. Until January 2008...

on a recent drive from montreal to myrtle beach, we started getting off I-95 looking for a place for the night, we try to use the travel coupon books, but after 3 places that were terrible, we finally tried perryville, ramada. $59/with coupon, and were very pleased with it.. the room was spotless and the front desk staff were wonderful and helpful, and the continental breakfast opened at 6am, but free coffee was available anytime... also a micro/fridge, coffeemaker in room... there was a denny;s next door, so we could walk to dinner and not have to drive in dark looking for a restaurant. also outlet shopping across street.... would definitely stay there again...

A few weeks ago I had an event to attend in Port Deposit, MD. The closest hotel in my price range was the Ramada in Perryville. Driving into the parking lot, I was skeptical because there was also a truck stop right there. I did not know what to expect.

The woman at the front desk was overly friendly, a little strange, but very nice. Check in was a piece of cake. There was also a small shop near the front desk for any extras you may need and snacks, so that was nice.

Our room was around the back of the hotel on the first floor. It was very clean and had extra pillows. I was surprised and did not expect it to be a decent hotel.

The hotel is also in a convenient shopping area, as the outlets are a short walk across the road. I would definitely stay here again.
