We visit the Grill often for tasty Bloody Mary's rimmed with spiced up OLD BAY - best ever! Eating healthy is easy with the great build your own salad and sandwich menu at bargain prices if you are used to the big city prices... Dinner specials are hit or miss. We love the Caribbean fish and chicken breast special- somewhat healthy and yummy. CRABCAKES are special and worth getting two -
( save one for next days lunch! )
Relaxing grill atmosphere lets you come as you are, boat wear and all...

There were one or two surprises at this place. From the outside it looked like a typical, fancy riverside joint. We were passing by on a road trip south and stopped to make a reservation. But were we a mite underdressed? Er no. Inside, it turned into a rather plain-looking café with a nice riverside view. They only menu they showed us seemed to be for take-out sandwiches. And they said it was going to be "burger night" - that didn't sound too promising. Would the food be any good? Actually, yes. I had probably the best crab cakes I've ever tasted. You were supposed to choose between fried and broiled. My friend and I, sharing a plate, couldn't decide, so they kindly offered to give us one of each. They were succulent, dreamy in fact and bursting with chunks of crab - not fillers. It will be hard to beat that again, even in Maryland. My starter was even more sublime - Ahi tuna, subtle and delicate, with ginger flakes, wasabi and so forth. The sort of thing you really want to savour, which was good, as they were offering cheap cocktails - but only after 8pm. So we spun out the meal until it got to the magic hour (the waiter sweetly kept coming up and saying, "nearly there!") After such a good experience, we decided to go for the desserts but sadly they were a big disappointment. The bread pudding was dry and bland (nothing like an English bread pudding) and my friend wondered if the pound cake was bought in. It was a pity it was dark, as we couldn't really see the river. It's probably better to go for lunch, order double the crab cakes and skip dessert.

This place was a total surprise for us. We just happened upon it while cruising the city. We enjoyed it very much. Beautiful setting on the river. Patrick was our waiter and was very attentive and helpful. Had the best crab dip, ever. Wish we could have stayed another night in Pokomoke City.

We liked our surf and turf meals but the quality of the meal wasn't worth the $25.00 that we had paid. My ribeye was thin, grisly and over cooked, my husbands was thin, fatty but cooked properly. We liked the view but the interior is nothing spectacular...cheap furniture and carpeting...uncomfortable chairs. It would be a great place for lunch but I wouldn't spend the money for dinner..

In a part of the country where most restaurants are awfully prosaic, it was a delight to stumble upon the Riverside Grill. While much of the menu was pretty standard, it did have some unusual items; all were nicely prepared. A special surprise was an incredibly good bread pudding. We're looking forward to a return visit to try the dinner menu.

The restaurant looks out on the Pocomoke River with a view upstream of an interesting old lift bridge that opens to let pleasure boats through. Sitting at a table on the deck on a warm autumn day was idyllic.
