On our annual visit to Rock Hall, we again dined at Osprey Point's restaurant. Food was good, but the server brought the wrong dish for my husband. It really didn't matter, though, because he like the substitute quite well. It is always surprising to eat at Osprey Point, which is a lovely dining room at a marina, with excellent food and a quiet, informal ambience. We expect to go back again next year and will surely dine again at Osprey. Recommend a quiet walk thru the marina after dinner. It is peaceful and lovely.

This was the "Bill of Fare" for the Easter Brunch:

"Mushroom Bisque
Maryland Crab Soup

Carving Station:
Honey Glazed Ham
Roasted Loin of Beef

Mixed Vegetable Sautée

Home-style Breakfast Potatoes
Chef's Omelet Station
Crab Cakes
Roasted Salmon
Classic Eggs Benedict
Seasonal Pasta
Seafood Crepes
Amaretto French Toast
Grilled Chicken with Tarragon Cream Sauce
Bacon
Sausage
Cheese Platter
Fruit Platter
Breakfast Breads

Mini Desserts"

The only negative, crepes were too thick to work as crepes.
The seafood innards were only chucks of salmon and thinly
sliced scallops. I would have hoped for at least some local
crab in the crepes. The crab cakes themselves were excellent.
However, having said that, EVERYTHING else, including service,
was excellently done. We will come back for another "Event".
[The trip from the Western Shore takes about 75 minutes one way.]

My wife and I stopped in to Osprey for dinner. The atmosphere was nice, with a well decorated dining room with a fireplace on one wall and a small bar area. For appetizers we started with a cheese plate and oysters. The oyster plate only had three oysters, although they were nice sized. The cheese plate was more substantial, and had a good selection of cheese with some cut fruit and berries. For entries my wife had the crab cakes and I had the shrimp Mediterranean, which was a dish of sauteed and grilled veggies, shallots, garlic olives and shrimp over couscous feta. The crab cakes were good, not great, but the shrimp dish was excellent. For desert we tried the creme brulee and a raspberry and mascarpone tart. The brulee was very good, and although the tart was tasty, the crust was sort of soggy. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The meal, as described plus two glasses of wine and two bourbons, was approx $140-150. The setting was very nice, and the meal was very good; but for that price I would have expected a bit more innovation on the menu. One last note: I made the reservation on Open Table, but for some reason the staff at the restaurant canceled the reservation, and according to Open Table it was done while we were eating. Not a big deal, but I didn't get the points credit--that is the only reason I'm not rating service as "excellent". All in all, not a bad visit, but probably not quite worth the price tag.

Drove down from New Jersey and were the first couple in the restaurant for the evening (unplanned, in fact we didn't even know where we would be at dinner time). Being early we were seated at the prime table in front of the fireplace - an auspicious beginning. We shared a Caesar salad, I had the butter poached lobster tail with a truffle potato flan and my fiancé had the scallops. Both were beautifully presented and delicious. We met the chef after dinner. The restaurant is closed for the month of January and I think it would be wise to make a reservation when you plan to be here during warmer weather.

Great burger in an elegant setting. It was our waitresses first night, and she was very attentive. When she didn't know the answer, she asked Eric, the more experienced waiter. Also love all the Marc Castelli paintings on the walls.
