When we have visitors who are new to the area we always take them to this museum. There are always interesting things to see and usually has hands on activities for kids.

I've been a Chesapeak Bay Maritime Museum member for many years and always look forward to visiting the facility several times during the warmer months -- always by boat. The exhibits and events are educational and enjoyable. Anyone planning an Eastern Shore weekend or vacation should make the CBMM a must see activity.

My husband and I visited this museum today. We enjoyed that it is a mixture between "indoor" and "outdoor" attractions. Especially cool is the big lighthouse. Also very interesting are the exhibitions on the oyster and crab culture of the Chesapeake region.

An excellent representation of life on the Chesapeake.... I learned heaps and enjoyed being able to touch some of the objects, ring the bells..... Set in wonderful grounds... A step up into the lighthouse is a must.
