Having found most places closed on a cold winters day in St. Michaels, we had lunch at Carpenters Street saloon. Shamrocks were still in evidence from the previous night St Patrick's Day revelry but despite her likely late night, our server was cheerful and attentive. We chose the saucy crab and pretzel appetizer and the lump crab cake sandwich. Both were overflowing with crab and delicious. Our booth overlooked the street where we could watch passersby but the interior of this cozy bar and restaurant was equally entertaining as half the people were eating at the bar and chatting like old friends. We couldn't resist having crab but the burgers looked great too.
