“Great Crab cakes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2013

We recently were in St. Michaels and stopped for lunch at Big Al's. It was very hot so we ate inside. My husband and I both had the jumbo lump crab cake sandwiches. They were great. We enjoyed them so much we ordered two more sandwiches to go to have for dinner!!!

“Pass up the water joints and come down to Big Al's!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2013 via mobile

What a find! At the end of Talbot St., you will find the best treasure this town had to offer. You can smell the smoker blocks down the road. You can seafood and bring it home to cook or get it there. We had four deviled crab eggs, a lit pit sandwich and fresh cut brisket. The crab eggs were served up with large piece of lump crabmeat on top. Both the pit beef and brisket served with a tasty tangy sauce. My husband pair his sandwich with calamari fries. Lightly battered and fried. I paired my brisket with potatoes salad just like my mom makes. This food was so fresh. I would have eaten here everyday and sampled all they have to offer. Family owed. Family run. They have beer and wine for purchase too, not a fancy joint, but a must eat. $30.00 well spent.

“Steamed crabs!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2013

If you are looking to take some steamed crabs home, this is the place to go. Steamed to order, great seasoning and weight! Their smoker outside may tempt you to take home some pulled pork of sliced smoked beef. Smells and tastes terrific! Friendly service.

“Excellent Crabs, BBQ and Service!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

We are from Chicago and visited St. Michaels, Maryland. This place is amazing! A local place where everyone comes to get their crabs catered for their house and boat parties. Al's has a few tables inside and some outside on the porch. I highly recommend the smoked pulled pork, the shrimp salad, and of course the crabs. You can buy beer and wine and enjoy your meal.

“Spicy. Crabs!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2013

We stopped by to get crabs to go and rather than freshly steamed we got reheated crabs. That was disappointing as nothing beats freshly steamed crabs! The meat was sweet and the spice was hot, a great mix. A dozen crabs cost $50. They also had a smoker in front for BBQ that smelled delicious. Not really for sit down though two picnic tales out front next to parking lot.
