St. Michaels is a charming town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. After looking at many B & B websites for the area, we chose to book our 2-night stay at the Tarr House. We had a fabulous time. Jim and Bonnie met us at the house at the schedued time and promptly showed us to our room. The room was sizable, the bed was extremely comfortable, the linens were soft, and the towels were fluffy.
After walking around the town of St. Michels (basically one road, Talbot Street), we were happy that we were staying one block off the main street. The Tarr House was very quiet; the B & B's on the main street probably have to deal with lots of street traffic noise. The Tarr House was also completely convenient to the shops, the museum, the restaurants, and the marina.
The breakfasts were delicious and huge. We also liked that The Tarr House has only 2 guest rooms so it is very cozy!
