“Great soft crab.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2013

The soft crab sandwich is still ten dollars. The sandwich was great, the frieds was a little greasy. The two teenagers was a lot of help with my order. They do have other food items there, and they have two or three tables outside. Ice cream is near the street side. You can watch the boats come in at the dock while you wait.

“Great Priices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 November 2012

I got a soft crab sandwich for $10. It came with fries. And you can't beat the view of the Bay and the boats. It was fun to watch the people coming in from their fishing.

“Best crabs in town!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2012

I had heard about this place from my friend, Sid, so I dragged my hungry group of family and friends there for lunch, only to see that it was basically a carryout window and all three public tables (with umbrella shades) were occupied. Well, after considering the price of crabs, $48 per dozen at the restaurants vs. $27 at Jeff and Vickie’s, my enterprising wife talked with Jeff and Vickie’s son and he was nice enough to shoo off the folks who had parked their fishing gear on one of the tables. The weather was fantastic (sunny and 75 degrees F) so the twelve of us got a very comfortable place to sit. We ordered 4 doz. Male crabs and, fried zucchini, calamari and fries. And not to forget, some nice beer from the front (road facing)counter. Jeff came by with a large brown paper roll and laid it out on the table. He also kept a large garbage pail next to our table for the crab shells.
The fried zucchini, calamari and fries appetizers were freshly cooked and very delicious. The main event, the crabs were one of the best we have ever had. They were very nice and spicy, with the spice powder spilling all over the table. The crab meat inside was very sweet, fresh, tender and had that nice spicy taste. It was easy enough to break open the crab ourselves without the help of the mallet Jeff’s son brought over for us. Washing it all down with the beer and with the nice breeze blowing by on that Saturday afternoon, it made for one of the best outings of us have ever enjoyed.

Notes: They generously gave us an extra crab for each dozen – I know, as we gents found out when we had to (gladly) eat the extra ones. Then the ladies wanted to exchange the Corona beer after tasting one, for a case of the less bitter Land Shark beer. When the folks at the front counter heard that the ladies wanted the milder beer, they gladly gave a 6 pack of Land Shark for the 5 bottles of Corona we were returning. I have never seen this kind of hospitality before!
More Notes: We had tied up our umbrella to the table so that there was enough shade for all of us. The other 2 tables cleared a short time after we had finished our appetizers. All the while, many local folks were driving in and out in their pickups, collecting their takeout orders in their coolers. And, please do not let the kids throw the stones into the bay from the sitting area, the locals pay to put them there!
