“CD Continues to satisfy and we actually got in tonight.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2013

You need to plan ahead and arrive early if you are going to eat here. They don't take reservations, but if you have to wait it's worth it. We didn't have to wait tonight and it was still worth it!!
My wife loved her salmon dish and my Cod was very nice. Our friends had the filet and pasta. They both enjoyed it very much.
I had the creme brule and my friend the key lime pie. Both excellent.
We always try to do the CD when we cruise to Solomons. Great place; keep up the good work.

“Always terrific!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

We are regulars for a reason! This place never disappoints. For something different and always delicious get one of the daily specials. The menu offers lots of variety from mediterranean pasta to the CD chicken salad to divine homemade desserts. It is small and it can get loud but we have always been able to have a pleasant conversation. Lots of local business types know it is a great place to gather. If it is crowded try the Next Door Lounge. Same great food without the wait for a restaurant table. Best place in Southern Maryland!

“Best place to have lunch in Solomons”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

It's located in an office building, which is the only negative. The indoor space is pleasant, and the service is terrific.

But it's all about the food....just terrific!...my husband had the crab cake sandwich, and I had a seafood Louie salad. Great flavor, and nice presentation.

“Great little cafe by the City Dock that lived up to its reputation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

Was rated the #1 restaurant in Solomons for a good reason. A very creative menu with beautiful presentation of most dishes. Had the fresh flounder sandwich (actually tilipia on the day I was there) on grilled foccacia with kalamata compound butter, sautéed spinach and grilled asparagus, pepper, and onion medley with crumbled feta cheese. A very small cafe, so you may have to wait if you get there at peak times, but well worth the wait. A little pricey for lunch, but again, worth it.

“Completely Overrated”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

I suppose that this restaurant gets good reviews because it isn't bad compared to the other restaurant options available in and immediately around Solomons. That doesn't mean that this place is good, it just means that it isn't bad. The food is not particularly good, for example I once had a salad with fried catfish that also included fritos and a few vegetables with little else besides. It wasn't a horrible salad, but something that's sold as an entree for $16 should have a little more going for it. This is true of most of their food, it's not that it's bad, it's just unimaginative and over-priced. This is true of most of their other food, it's not very originally, not particularly well-made (but not poorly made either), and very expensive. Add onto that the fact that the staff are frequently unfriendly and this is not a restaurant that I find myself wanting visit again and again.
