“Not very impress by unwelcoming staff... Ok food!!!”
Reviewed 19 May 2014 via mobile

We arrived 1 hour before their closing time and most of the staff made us feel that we were not welcome... They rush the service, undercook the food, were all but helpful with us...

One of the waitress was very kind but we can't say the same for many other staff members...

We had a wrap, chicken wings, onion rings and at the very disappointment of our waitress only drink Pepsi instead of high tips items such as cocktail or beer!!!

Sorry we disturb you 1 hour before you had to close !!!

They even swept the floor next to us and under our chairs and clean all table - almost close to light to make sure we could leave them alone faster!!!

Not very impress!!!

“Lunch was great!”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

My husband and I went to the new Lighthouse a few weeks ago for lunch on a Saturday. Of course, my husband wanted me to take a picture of him with the large fish hanging outside (nice touch!). We were quickly seated at one of the high, round-top tables near the outside bar. It was a slightly chilly day but sitting just inside with the large doors up gave us perfect protection from the chill. We were still able to enjoy the gorgeous view and feel like we were outside. I look forward to sitting on one of the other deck levels next time. Our waitress came quickly and was friendly and attentive for our entire visit. We started with the crab pizza appetizer but weren't extremely impressed with it. It didn't have a ton of flavor. My recommendation would be to add a bit more of their seafood seasoning and sharper cheese. However, we both LOVED our entrees. My husband ordered the angry crab cake and it was delicious (yes, I had some too!). We both agreed the seafood seasoning (which was not Old Bay - but just as tasty) added a lot of flavor along with the additional pepper. I ordered the Tacos with Blackened Shrimp. They were very yummy and came with crab chips and a special dip which I used both on my tacos and for chip dipping. Parking is a bit of a problem on a busy day but not much can be done about that given the location. We did try to go again for dinner on a Thursday evening but ended up at another restaurant because there was no parking within a reasonable distance.

“Pet Friendly”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

My husband and I always bring our dog when we go to Solomons so it's great to have another choice for food and drinks. We had always enjoyed the food at Clarke's Landing so expected to enjoy it here as well. We sat outside on the deck (of course, only service dogs are allowed inside) and best part is it's in the shade by early evening so much more comfortable than the Island's other pet friendly choices. Between the bar crowd at one end and the band at the other it was a bit too loud for us, but we still enjoyed it. Crab dip was excellent as were both types of crab soup. Disappointed in the crab imperial stuffed rockfish since the rock was overcooked and dry. Next time we'll stick with drinks and apps. Prices are in line with other restaurants on the island. Parking is a competitive sport so we opted to leave our vehicle across the street from CD Cafe and walk down. Made us feel better about all the rich food we ate.

“For fun and good food...”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

We went to the Lighthouse Restaurant for Date Night (yes, that's Wednesdays for us), and were pleasantly surprised at how lively the place was for a mid-week evening. We got there around 6:30, and it was just getting busier as we left. They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more so we were prepared to wait, but found a table in the bar and sat right down. Our server, Chanel, was friendly and attentive, even anticipating that we wanted tartar sauce with our hush puppies. It was a little pricey for what we got (spinach salad and a burger), but a fun evening for a special night.
