Hemingways is situated at the foot of the Bay Bridge, with an unobstructed view of the setting sun and the Bridge itself. Everyone, and I mean everyone, should take the opportunity to enjoy a sunset view and dinner here. There is plenty of room, excellent food and views to make every photographer, amateur or professional happy.

Located just below the bridge in eastern side, the restaurant offers good view and nice ambiance. Lots of crab and fishing stuff hanging from ceiling and walls. Nice sailing chart on booth tables.
Food was average and more expensive than some other places in the area. Seems to attract tourist not regulars.

very comfy and updated interior and exterior. Up to par with eastern shore restaurants as far as prices and food is ok, a little too greasy but not bad.

We have visited Hemingways several times over the years, but not in the two or three. The restaurant has undergone a major renovation and they got it right. The location overlooking the east portion of the Chesapeake Bay and bridge is great, and the new-look building and interior really take advantage of it with great windows and high ceilings. The decor is tasteful and waterman-centric. You could wander around just looking at photos and memorabilia.

We weren't all that hungry, so my better half had a wonderful crab soup...light and tasty. I went for the fried oysters. They were crunchy and excellent. We shared an apple pie dessert that was just the right mix of sweet and tart with a terrific crust.

Very friendly attitude from the hostess to our waitperson. The entire staff seemed to take an interest in making sure we had whatever we needed.

We were warned by a local friend but we still decided to give it a shot. We liked the location and ambience. Going in we knew it was an expensive place! We had to wait almost 45 mins for our food. The orders were mixed up. It seemed the food got cold waiting to be served. The appetizer was served after the main course. The scallops were uncooked. Then we noticed the server spilling a plate of sauce on a gentlemen wearing a suit. We complained to the manager and was credited for the appetizer. The whole experiences left a bad taste. Will not recommend as we felt someone needs to be managing the place especially when the prices are on the higher end.
