It was very close to Carmel Cove Inn. Loved the laid back atmosphere and wine selection. Every bottle of wine we purchased here was very, very good. The owner was very helpful in selection of wine. We also took home some unique cheeses.

Nestled in the heart of deep creek lake is one of the true treasures not only of the area, but the State. When you walk in, you're taken back to a simpler time where a small shop provided a unique shopping and tasting experience. It specializes in hard ti find items and for the true wine purest, it is an oasis. What you may not expect is some of the best food you may ever eat. The menu is small, but the attention to every detail in both preperation and presentation is that of a 3 to 4 star restaurant. If this place was not on your radar of destinations, Put It There!

On a rainy Saturday morning we entered the Fireside Deli & Wine Shop expecting a small sandwich place with some wine for sale. What we found was an incredibly knowledgeable owner (Mary Ellen) who was willing to share her wine and her stories. We each had a tasting of 6 wines plus we ordered a cheese plate. While we enjoyed our cheese and crisps Mary Ellen helped us to understand the subtle differences in each of the wines she poured. After our tasting we were too full to order lunch but the next time we will be sure to plan ahead as the menu was enticing. This is a great spot to visit if you are in the area.

Maryellen knows most of her customers by name? Gives hugs, shares stories, introduced you to others and always has the perfect wine recommendation. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, and the paninis and cheeses are delicious. One of my most favorite places to take a friend.

Very consistent and reliable. The panninis are fresh and really well made. The wine selections are extensive and interesting. A great place to hang out and relax.
The wine tastings every Saturday afternoon are a nice experience too.
