We drove to Washington DC. This may not be the hotel/motel dreams are
made of, but for the price to be 10-15 min driving from N Capitol and
Massachusettes in Washington DC I recommend it.

The room was clean. The air conditioner worked. There was no shortage of hot water. The coffee maker was supplied and worked. We weren't bothered by noise from the other rooms at all. The continental breakfast was just that. Cereal and rolls, coffee and juices, yogurt and hard boiled eggs were offered. It was just enough to start the day and find a little something more at lunch. There is an IHOP in the parking lot if you have to have something more and it is open 24 hours. There is a bus stop in front of the motel. All the
rooms open to the outside.

If you absolutely want a neighborhood you can walk around in at night
you might want to drive around first and see how you feel.

We have just returned from a two-week 3000+ mile road trip and this was our first loding stop. Reserved through [--------] [which gives it a 2-star rating] for 3 nights. This property shares a poll and parking lot with an Econo Lodge. When we arrived there were three police cruisers handling a 'situation' across the parking lot at the other motel. Upon arriving in the office, the front desk said they had no record of our reservation, and stated that this occurs frequently with reservations made through [------------]. Fortunately/unfortunately, they did had a room meeting our requirements for they 3 nights that were prepaid [and non-refundable!], but is was a handicapped access room. We did not perceive that as being a problem, but the room did leave much to be desired. It smelled mildewed and musty - we immediately went out a bought Lysol and sprayed almost everything - the AC intake and vents, the carpet, etc. The shower enclosure was large with a fold-down bench and hand-held sprayer, but had not even a small lip to retain water so everything flowed into the major portion of the bathroom [where commode and vanity are located] so nothing could be placed on the floor. Door into the room had been broken into at some time, although it did lock we didn't feel especially secure and had to rearrange the furnishings a bit to keep our 7 year old's bed away from the door [not easy as the larger space in the room was located between the bed and the exterior door. We would have preferred to find another place to stay, but could not afford to lose the $275 already spent.

We stayed at the "Quality Inn Takoma Park" on the second week of April. Our stay was fine. The hotel is a very simple one, not fancy, but the price was reasonable – 80$ per night. It is very hard to find a good hotel under 100$ in DC. The room was old but clean, but the cleaning people maid a lot of noise when they came in the morning to clean the room. It is a good place to stay for someone who needs a place to sleep. There is an IHOP restaurant just in front of the hotel.
The location is OK. You need to ride the bus (across the street) to the metro station. The bus ride takes 10-15 minutes and the metro ride 15-20 minutes.
It is a little bit far from the DC's main attractions, but the price is reasonable!

Paid $60 ($68.10 with tax) for one night through hotels. Almost impossible to find anything in DC below $100 so this was a good deal.

This is an average hotel. It is not the Westin Bonaventure in LA. But it is more than adequate for the road warrior passing through for one night. Typical 70's motel build, but interiors updated recently.

Room was clean. Bed was OK. Bathroom was small, but toilet worked and shower provided hot water. Heater worked. Only complaint, no hangers or anyplace to hang clothes!

24hr IHOP in parking lot, a plus! Lobby was clean. Staff was pleasant.

Not where I would stay for a vacation, but certainly would book it again at $60 passing traveling through the DC area.

I booked my hotel room in advance since I was travelling from out of town. When I made the reservation I was quoted one price, and when I arrived, I was charged a higher price. There was no manager present and I had traveled for 6 hours with my family including small children; so I took the room in hopes of settling with the manager in the morning, which is when I was told that the manager would arrive. By the time management arrived at the hotel, it was three days later and the manager was just as ignorant and rude as her staff. The room doors did not lock correctly, you had to play with them in order to get them to lock. The bathrooms were so small that when ever you open the door, it would get stuck on the toilet, on the soda machine, the signs were handmade (mountain dew, coke etc), and the signs didn't match up with the sodas; if you push sunkist, you might get a ginger ale for example. The neighborhood appears to be unsafe, the carpets were dirty, I could go on for hours. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a terrible experience.

Stayed at the Quality Inn Takoma Park on June 25th for one night. The hotel was decent and I would stay there again. The room was clean and comfortable average motel room, bathroom (toilet bowl & tub, sink outside) could be a little bigger. Did not make it to breakfast, but there is a IHOP in the same complex that was okay. Area seemed okay, was a little concerned as we arrived at night and there was strange characters hanging in the lobby, but we were not bothered and would have stayed another night but hotel was sold out.
