This hotel is fine for the rate they charge. No complaints and very adequate for a night.

The late night front desk clerk, Wendy, was very professional and did a good job. I was first booked in a room right next to the lobby, but had to be moved to another room due to no water pressure at all in the sink, or shower. I was very lucky I checked this almost immediately, if I had waited until getting into the shower this late at night I would have been very irritated. The sink had a trickle, and when I checked the shower, it didn't have enough pressure to make it to the shower head. Second room water pressure was fine, no problems.

Seemed a little 'musky' smelling, and carpet was old, but bed was comfortable and linens were clean. Bathroom was also clean, but the exhaust fan didn't work. Had a fridge and microwave, both worked and were clean.

Overall, it was okay for a night, and given the price of $63 on a Friday night, it was economical enough that I would return.

One final unusual thing - the parking is not very convenient unless your room is in the back building. There is a huge lawn in the front, which looks nice, but is worthless otherwise. It would provide much better and needed parking in front of the rooms for easier access, especially during foul weather.

Room Tip: Check water pressure immediately.

We booked two nights, but had to leave during the first night's stay. The room had cobwebs behind the door and hair in the tub. It was the strong smell of mold that drove us out as it made my wife ill. We called the desk several times, but got no answer. I went to the office to check out and no one was there or responded. Later in the day when I called to be sure they knew we checked out and why, I was told only that the second night had been cancelled. No offer of anything.
This is the worst Red Roof Inn we've stayed at, after having some very nice experiences elsewhere.

Our group of three was riding the C&O Canal Towpath and Williamsport was a good turnaround spot (having started at Great Falls). There are only two places to stay in Williamsport and we opted for the Red Roof Inn. The room was clean, had all the necessary amenities, and satisfied our needs. We were even able to do laundry in the guest laundromat. The only negative from the stay was the uninformed staff. They advertise a car wash "next door with a hose for washing bicycles." This was a plus for us since the Towpath was quite muddy. The desk clerk had no idea where the car wash was. We found it literally next door, within view of the front office! One hint, for cyclists staying at the Red Roof, there is a back walking/biking trail you can use to get to an from the downtown area instead of riding or trying to walk the very busy road out front.

It's not luxurious but it's clean, comfortable, efficient and has friendly helpful staff. The rooms have all the necessary facilities which were all well maintained.
We stayed whilst cycling and it was excellent.
The Waffle House nearby does a great breakfast.
We would stay here again.

We stayed for one night here because it was closest to the C&O Canal path. Although I was worried by the negative reviews, it was a surprisingly nice hotel. The clean room easily accommodated our two bikes. The firm bed provided us a restful evening of sleep. The bath was clean and updated. Although there is no breakfast, the nearby Waffle House is inexpensive and within walking distance. Maybe management took the time to respond to previous negative reviews?

I actually didn't stay there for other reasons - but stopped by to cancel my reservations - and was please to find that the reviews I had read (which were old) were clearly outdated. The place looks like it's been redone - there IS wifi in every room (free) and aside from not having a swimming pool, it would have been a fine place to stay for the night. And the desk clerk was amazingly helpful and friendly.

Terrible!!!
No hair drier, no refigerator, no micro, no iron or board and certainly hard as nails bed!
Plus the room smelled of industrial strength cleansers... took hours to get the ammonia smell out!
