“So many whales!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

Went on several trips while visiting Cape Cod with friends, because one whale watch trip is never enough! Each trip was fantastic, full of spectacular sightings! Seeing whales in their natural habitat is exciting, but even more memorable is learning about each of the whales you're seeing...their names, their unique characteristics, sometimes stories about their family lineage or successful disentanglements. The naturalist's delivery and content of this information made the difference between a good whale watch and an excellent one. From the captain to the galley crew, the comfort and cleanliness of the boat...all excellent! And as my empty wallet proves, the gift shop didn't disappoint either! Whether you're a self-proclaimed whale addict like myself, or have never been whale watching before....choosing to spend the day on the water with Hyannis Whale Watchers would be a great choice!

“A whale of a good time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

We looked long and hard before choosing a whale-watch experience (from Gloucester to Boston to Provincetown) and were super-glad we chose Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises (which is actually about 15 minutes north of Hyannis, in West Barnstable). The entire staff and crew were genuinely welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable, the boat was pristine, the price couldn't be beat. On our "cruise," there were maybe 20 whales (some very close to the boat) and even the crew was amazed! We've been back only one week, and we already miss Salt and her children, Epsom and Pepper, as well as the other magnificent creatures. Thank you all!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

Excellent. Great cruise. Saw many whales up close. It was really great and well worth the cost for the experience. This was our third excursion and, like the prior two times, it was amazing to see the whales up close. We were getting misted from their blow holes. It is awesome to watch these gentle giants.

Tip: if you happen to be hungry while on board, get a lobster roll at the snack bar/cafe. We were in line to get a beer and saw these great lobster rolls going by, so we got a couple. Wow. They were excellent.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

We went on a cloudy, overcast, drizzly day and saw at least a dozen whales! - plus a bonus rainbow! Actually saw 4 whales before we even got to the area where the whales usually are. Once the whales are spotted, no one sits down. The small snack shop is very reasonably priced, but you're allowed to bring your own snacks and small cooler (6pack sized, but no alcohol). Alcohol is available for purchase though. Guides were very knowledgeable & friendly. Would absolutely recommend this trip!

“I was AMAZED”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

As far as boats go, I think all whale watching boats are basically the same. Lots of uncofortable seats. They had inside and outside seats, a little snack bar that served beer, soda, snacks and other small foods (at decent prices), and two decks. A third deck was opened when we got going. My boyfriend and I sat on the top deck and were so pleased with all the information we were given as we rode through the cape cod bay. We were even more pleased by the number of whales we saw when we got past P-town! 20 DIFFERENT whales were out that day! They were EVERYWHERE!! They were all humpback whales. Several pods were in the area, including three mother / calf pairs. Not one minute went by on our trip that you couldn't spot a whale somewhere close. Very pleased with the experience.
