“Excellent value, helpful staff”

Were steered to them by family living in Concord, and glad we were. Clean and comfortable for a remarkable price. Good icecream shop next door. Staff (I assume owners) were very helpful with printing boarding passes and steering to store for a needed phone purchase (and printing off a $5.00 Off coupon they happened to have for that store!). Will certainly stay there next time out.

Bedford Motel is clean and comfortable. Well equipped rooms. The staff is friendly and courteous. It is quiet, off the highway. Shopping nearby. However, the water was so hot great care was needed when using it. The door locks needed repair, and a shelf was about falling off the wall. With a little upgrading, would be better. Overall, adequate for a budget motel.

Based on other on-line reviews, we chose this motel based on "clean, comfortable rooms" and "convenient to Boston" - neither statement even vaguely resembled the truth! We were assigned Room 3. The bathroom, while being "updated" was filthy - I immediately went to the store down the street and purchased cleaning products to scrub and disinfect the toilet and shower - they were NASTY, complete with pubic hair!!! Don't look at the ceiling in the bathroom, either - too gross to describe! There were short and curly hairs in the mini-fridge - Yuck! They must use the same cloth to clean the entire room, starting with the bathroom!

"Quiet" is also not a word I'd use to describe this place - the guy in the next room must have had bronchitis & we could hear every cough...all night long. Added to that, the extreme traffic noise (and a wrecker towing a vehicle out of the parking lot of the motel at 5:00 in the morning!) and this was not the place to get a good night's sleep.
Don't look out the windows - room 3 looks into a junkyard! The screens were torn and full of holes, so keeping the windows closed was the only option anyway.
The add for this motel says it is "convenient" to Downtown Boston - on what planet, I'd like to know! We had surgery scheduled at Brigham and Women's Hospital with 4 days in-patient stay, so I was locked into this reservation - could not get another room on short notice, or I'd never have spent even 1 night here. The 29 mile trip into Boston took 45 minutes during non-rush hour (2:00 in the afternoon) and 3 hours and 30 minutes during the morning rush. Stop and go traffic in all 4 lanes on the Mass Pike is not what I would consider "convenient"!
This place was certainly not as described - the Middle Eastern people who own/operate this motel need to take into consideration that they are not in the Mid-East anymore, and "convenient" and "clean" mean different things here in the US than they do in their own country, apparently. Not worth the price, at ANY price! Dirty, loud, No amenities what so ever (a styrofoam cup of instant coffee in the lobby at 7:15 doesn't count! and don't even bother to ask for an extra towel!), and very very inconvenient to anywhere except Downtown Bedford! Save your pennies - any Super-8 would seem like the Ritz in comparison to the Bedford Motel!

Room Tip: any room that is NOT at the Bedford Motel!

First let me say, we had originally looked into staying at the Bedford Plaza Hotel. The location seemed to be more easily accessible to the highway. Boy am I glad we didn't stay there- it is now some sort of homeless shelter! Upon passing that Rat Trap Hotel we say all sorts ofshady people loitering about. Glad we read the reviews and did not stay there!
Now as for this place, I must say I was pleased. For the price it is perfect. It is not fancy, but it does not advertise that it is. The staff was friendly, pleasant and willing to help answer questions. The price was affordable, the rooms are a bit outdated, but considering all we did there was sleep and shower it was fine. It was close to a shopping center with an Italian restaurant (Luigis), Whole Foods and a Marshalls. Right next door to the motel was and Ice Cream shop and another restaurant, Dalias. The ice cream was yummy! This place was nice and quiet and we felt safe! The views weren't spectacular, but if you want good views all you had to was was travel a few miles down the road to Great Meadows Wildife Refuge(hidden gem!). The room was very clean and comfortable. When and if they update, it will be hard to book a room here. Coffee and pastires in the morning a plus. Dunkin Donuts across the way if you want more!
I would stay here again, clean room, friendly staff and safe! No Homeless!!!!

We chose this motel based on the positive reviews we got from Trip Advisor. It was very inconvenient to get to Boston. A 20 minute ride on a road with alot of traffic to the train station in Alewife, then 2 train changes to Government Center. In the morning I reached down to see what this "box" was on the floor of our room and much to my suprise, a mouse in a cardboard trap! When I took the bag of garbage with the mouse in it to the front desk, the lady didn't seem to be concerned, just said "you can throw that away over there". No amenities here and at the very best I would call this a "hole in the wall" motel. Would not suggest this to anyone

We stayed here for a night on the way through Boston. We were looking for an affordable and safe place to stay. Bedford seems to be a very nice little town & the motel area seems very safe. The room was a little out-dated, but it was clean enough and worked for what we needed which was just a place to sleep for one night at a low price. We paid $79 plus tax for our room. I would probably stay here again. Eat at luigi's if you do stay here!

Low price, room clean, I liked my 2 nights at this motel. The room was quiet, but the air conditioning was a bit noisy. Although the scenery of the room's window was horrible, I recommend this hotel for people who want a decent room at low price near Boston.
