This place is in a strip mall and, unless you knew about it, you would miss it entirely. The roast beef sandwiches with horseradish sauce are out of this world. The fries and onion rings are great as well.

Yes, the roast beef is good. Really good, especially with their *SPICY* sauce on it. But I like a lot of other things there just as much. Beef tips in a sub - wonderful. I also really like their beef tips (souvlaki) over a greek salad. They serve it with a warmed pita and greek dressing. Gyros are great. Chicken kabobs are awesome. You can get those in sub or on a salad, too. Seafood? Their fried seafood is WONDERFUL. This brings me to the fries. I haven't talked about the fries yet, but with a seafood dinner you get a pile of shoestring fries. You can order fries as a side, and if you are eating alone, seriously, don't even think about getting anything larger than a small. They put the "small" sized container in a bag, and then pour a bunch more in on top. It will fill a plate to heaping. The subs in general are good. I haven't had a bad meal here in the 29 years I've been eating from this shop for lunch & dinner.

Were staying in Billerica and we wanted an inexpensive light meal before going to a concert. Chose Bedford House of Roast Beef based on Tripadvisor reviews (the majority). Found that this place was just what we were looking for. More like a fast food place than a "sitdown and be waited upon restaurant". Which was fine with us. Order and pick-up at the front counter. A decent variety of choices with roast beef sanwhiches being one of their specialitys. we both had the RB sandwiches with fries. Everything was very good with the RB being especially yumee. Our total which a couple of soda's was about $20. Didn't see the "dirty" rundown place one review mentioned. Lots of people in and out getting orders to go. Seemed like a vibrant business. Would eat here again if in the area and recommend it if you are looking for the kind of place described.

We lived on the local Air Force base several years before trying the House of Beef. It's amazing. The fries as shoestring, crispy & hot, never soggy. While I hear all food is good, go for the roast beef. It's better than the 'big name' in Revere. It's truly the best roast beef sandwich you'll ever eat. medium rare, no fat, shaved & piled, & piled, and piled on a toasted bun. Ask for the horsey sauce. It's all delicious. Don't let the tired exterior fool you - the beef is what dreams are made of. At home, we now call it 'Carnivore Palace" - yeah - it's that good!
