“Wonderful stay at the Candleberry Inn!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2013

Very friendly, warm, welcoming staff that truly care about each guest's experience while staying with them. Hospitable atmosphere, common room with books and games, tea and coffee available, and a great breakfast room. Caring family asked about dietary restrictions and made sure they had lactose-free milk available during my stay. They really made our time in Brewster so relaxing and fun! Our room was very cute with an antique feel, but very clean and well kept. Beds are extremely comfortable!!

We went for a three day weekend and stayed in the room with the 2-person Jacuzzi. I am NOT a B&B person usually, as I've had some poor experiences, but I went on the advice of family, and it was lovely. It really is an old-fashioned Inn that happens to include breakfast and a family on the premises, as opposed to a room in someone's home. The bed was fantastic and the little extras like bath salts for the Jacuzzi, pristine robes and make-up remover pads all added to the pampered environment. The seperate guest dining room, parlor, etc added to the peacefulness of our weekend. My only discomfort came from a musty odor that my husband couldn't smell, but I noticed every time I entered the room. It should be noted that it was raining out, which may have affected the smell. The immaculate room included a flat screen tv, fridge, microwave, blow-dryer and an alarm clock. There was great chowder at the Brew House, in walking distance, as was an olde-fashioned general store. Also, great, inexpensive boutique shopping in Chatham, fifteen minutes away. There were many interesting natural sites as well, such as beaches, herring swimming upstream and cranberry bogs. It's definitely not a place for kids, though. Lots of antiques and not at all childproof. We could have stayed a few more days and enjoyed them all.

We had the opportunity for an extended stay at the Candleberry Inn while work was being done on our home. It was the perfect choice combining a great village location with a lovely comfortable suite and innkeepers who are the essence of hospitality at its best. Stu and Charlotte are just the right mix of helpful, attentive, relaxed and informative innkeepers that travelers hope for. Their homemade breakfast is a treat every day.

The Candleberry is a beautiful historic building with all the modern amenities and a location anyone would love ot return to. The Inn is just across Main Street from the charming Brewster general store and a lovely walk to the Bramble Inn and Brewster Fish House for beautifully prepared local cuisine. The nearest white sand beach is just a stroll down Breakwater Road where sunsets are up close and personal at the end of an idyllic day.

We can only say thank you again for making our stay so memorable.

Great room in the Carriage barn! The Inn is so cozy and well appointed...loved having a Keurig available and refrigerator in our room and in the common area! My mom and I enjoyed the delicious, abundant breakfasts, afternoon treats and chats with Charlotte! Everything about our late October stay was wonderful! We will definitely return again! Hopefully, not with a hurricane looming, though! :)

My sister and I were looking for a short vacation near the water with easy bike trails and great dining. The Candleberry Inn was in the right place and offerred a room with two beds, sometimes an uncommon option. The pleasant surprise was that the inn became one of the highlights of the trip, not just a place to fall into bed at night. The room was charming, the common rooms were truly welcoming (I am often uncomfortable lingering in the public spaces of a b&b, but not here), and Charlotte felt like a longtime friend the minute we started talking. Our breakfasts were delicious and we were steered to bike rentals and restaurants that were exactly what we'd hoped to discover. A fantastic find!

What a lovely review! It's a pleasure to host delightful guests like yourselves. I'm so glad you had a chance to rent bikes while here and tried the Cape Cod Rail Trail! Wasn't it great? No matter what you think you level of bicycling ability is, it's a wonderful ride! We do find that many guests who travel with friends or family members enjoy the option of a room with two beds - we're glad you did too. Many thanks - come back soon!

Charlotte, one of the owners, was so kind, hospitable, and a great cook! Our rooms were clean and cozy. There were three of us in one of the rooms so I slept in a pull out bed. They brought me extra blankets without asking because the weather had just started to cool down for the season. So thoughtful. The grounds are beautiful. This was a true bed and breakfast. So many I read about now have "hotel style" continental breakfasts of cold cereal and pastries. Not this one! When you arrive for breakfast you are handed a menu with the special of the day...we had a delicious French toast one day with sausage, fresh fruit, and a warm apple turnover. The next day we had pumpkin pancakes (we visited in the fall). If the special doesn't appeal to you, they offer alternatives such as steel cut oatmeal or a yogurt and granola parfait.
Everything was just perfect for our group of 5!

When you go to the cape you have to stay at the Candleberry Inn. What a special place! It is such a warm cozy inviting place and the Inn Keepers Charlotte and Jenn make you feel like family. They too are warm and inviting and make you feel welcome from the minute you get there. I went with my mom, sister and 2 nieces for an All Girls New England Adventure and we stayed in the Treetop Room and the SeaBreeze room which were soooooo inviting and comfortable. We always looked forward to breakfast each morning and it was always difficult to decide what to choose, so we often shared and were never disappointed! Charlotte, Jenn and Carrie gave us a lot of suggestions as to what to do and see and Fiona (the doggie) was as cute as can be. When our time ended at the cape, we sadly left the Candleberry Inn and we went to Northern Massachusetts to take in the Fall colors and stayed at another Bed and Breakfast...which was also nice, BUT did NOT hold a Candle to The Candleberry Inn...We won't stay anywhere else on the cape...we are Candleberry Inn fans for LIFE!

Room Tip: Our rooms were wonderful in the carriage house and we peeked in many of the other rooms and I can co...
