My husband and I have been traveling to the Cape together for the past 10 years. We have stayed in many different towns, but Brewster's Captain Freeman's Inn is the best to date. The Inn is very inviting and exceptionally clean. The Innkeepers and their staff are experts at hospitality. They make each guest feel valued and welcome their suggestions. The morning breakfasts are delicious and the afternoon repast is an excellent touch. The location is very convenient for any bay side fans. We will recommend the Inn to our family and friends.

Captain Freeman's home has been beautifully restored. It is inviting and extremely comfortable with all the amenities one hopes for in a country inn.
Our history with the Captain Freeman Inn is now in its 37th year. We have experienced many Innkeepers and we must tell you that Byron, Donna, Nathan and, of course, Harrison plus an amazing staff have elevated the Inn to a new level. If we could describe our perfect getaway, it would be this Inn in this location on Cape Cod. In fact, we travel across the country to vacation here. The experience is in the details and those details made this last visit a most wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Call the Innkeepers. They will help you pick the correct room to meet your needs.

The Captain Freeman Inn is such a jewel! We absolutely loved everything about this B&B. The location is perfectly situated (a short walk to the beach for amazing sunsets) and the hospitality is second to none. This was our first visit to Cape Cod and Byron, Donna and the wonderful staff made it such an amazing experience. We stayed in the Mashpee Room and it was extremely well maintained and every detail was attended to during our time at the Inn. We immediately felt at home! Whether it be the gourmet breakfasts served in the morning to the delicious treats served in the afternoon, the caring attentiveness of the staff or the appeal of the immaculately maintained property, I already cannot wait to go back! We give the Captain Freeman Inn our highest possible recommendation!!

Room Tip: We got a chance to see all of the rooms and honestly, they all looked amazing! I don't think th...

My husband I recently traveled to Cape Cod for a wedding. While the wedding took place in Chatham, we decided to stay in nearby Brewster for a change of scenery. We are a bit wary of B&B's due to past experiences, but were so pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Captain Freeman Inn.

The Inn is clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The beds are extremely comfortable and feature feather beds and the softest sheets. The Inn is filled with charming antiques, but also has modern conveniences like wireless internet, a whirlpool tub, iPod dock radio, and air conditioning. We stayed in the Dennis room and although it was not incredibly spacious, it was comfortable and inviting for a three night stay.

The Inn is located next door to a cute general store and is a 10 minute walk to Breakwater Beach. My husband and I enjoyed taking a walk to the beach one afternoon, as well as a beautiful evening sunset. There is also a pristine backyard with lounge chairs and an in-ground pool. While the water was a bit too cold for swimming, it was a nice spot to relax and read a book.

A delicious homemade breakfast is served each morning. The breakfast typically consisted of a fresh fruit salad, a main course such as blueberry pancakes or a gourmet breakfast sandwich, and a light dessert. The breakfast exceeded my expectations in every way. We were sad to have slept in on the last day and miss the wonderful breakfast.

The staff were wonderful! Friendly, but not intrusive. We typically do not stay in B&B's because we aren't always interested in the "communal" atmosphere. The Captain Freeman Inn offers a perfect combination of friendly interaction with staff and personal privacy.

We will certainly return to the Captain Freeman Inn and would recommend it to friends and family seeking a quiet getaway.

The captain freeman inn is fabulous in every way! Wonderful hospitality, tastefully furnished rooms with gorgeous toiletries and pleasant small touches like a vase of fresh flowers and chocs on arrival. The very yummy breakfast was really unique and freshly prepared every day. Tea/coffee, fresh lemonade, iced tea and lovely homemade cakes were available during the afternoon. You could even enjoy a port or sherry night cap! All in all this place was fantastic, worth every penny - we wish we could have stayed longer.

..because finding a gem like the Captain Freeman Inn and all the people who go with it, owners, guests, and staff is a big part of discovery and adventure. My husband and I hadn't been to the Cape in a long time, and wanted to try our hand at kayaking in the Brewster area. There were quite a few vey good looking inns right in town, but there was something about the Inn (maybe all the trip advisor reviews) that sounded special. And it was--I cannot think of the last time we have been at an inn with such an attention to every detail, from the beautifully decorated rooms and overall inn, to the restful grounds (and wonderful wraparound porch) to the amenities in our room that allowed us to move right in for four days. Byron, Donna and Nathan are wonderful hosts, but of course we all know that Harrison really runs the place. And we had great evening conversations with the other guests (many from other countries). The inn just seems to draw people in.

Now our only problem is that we have to work off those fabulous breakfasts and treats that are always around! I think we might need to stay two weeks next time in order to experience the full range of different breakfasts, though...

One of our best inn experiences.

Room Tip: Barnstable room in the rear overlooks the back yard and has one of the inn's porches, which is g...

fine dining, lovely rooms, birds singing, captivating conversation ! We hope to return in the very near future. Byron provided "love" in the morning...waking up to fresh coffee each morning, fresh fruit, and delightful sweet treats. the sitting room is a place of comfort and a sherry for the afternoon porch relaxation. Graceful Inn-keepers...lots of smiles and taking the time to chat. Thank you Donna & Byron

Room Tip: the rooms all have history and are lovely decorated
