“So-so Indian food at a good price”
Reviewed 7 August 2013 via mobile

Decided to go here after looking up veg-friendly restaurants in the area. Food was decent. Owner was very friendly and pointed out all the menu items that could be made vegan. You order and pay at the counter. The presentation leaves a lot to be desired, with each dish served on a big cafeteria-style red tray. The food was a mixed bag. Ordered Khasta Kachori Chaat, Batata Vada, Mooli Paratha, and Rava Dosa. Found the lentil soup that accompanied the Rava Dosa to be unpleasantly spicy. Didn't much care for the Dosa either. The Batata Vada and Khasta Kachori Chaat were both fairly tasty. It was good to have many dishes we haven't seen at most other Indian restaurants. These four dishes were just about the right amount for two people, and very reasonably priced at around $20 total.

“Wednesday is buffet night”
Reviewed 10 July 2013

The restaurant is tucked at the side of a garage, and the entrance may fool you, but it's an excellent restaurant. I came on Wednesday, which apparently is buffet night. There was a good selection of both fried and cooked Indian food. It wasn't too hot, which I liked. The only point for improvement were the sweets, which were so-so.

“The only "Indian" restaurant in Boston area... read on”
Reviewed 26 January 2013

There are many great Indian restaurants in the Boston area no doubt, but they are either North Indian, South Indian, may be Indian Chinese and may be some other local Indian cuisine specialists, but only "Ritu Ki Rasoi" is a truly INDIAN restaurant in that they do various regional buffets every Wednesday which makes this a unique spot if you want to try Indian food from a different region than what you are used to... Rajasthani and Chaat buffet are hands down finger-licking-awesome but they have also done South Indian, Maharashtran, Gujarati, Central Indian, Mughlai to name some other regional buffets and they do them well ... Regardless of Wednesday buffets which certainly is a highlight for me on a daily basis some of my favorites are Vada Pav, Khasta Kachori, Chhole Bhature & Pav Bhaji. Give it a try if you have not esp. on a Wednesday night....

“South Indian dishes are not the best. However customer focus is great”
Reviewed 28 December 2012 via mobile

We like Ritu ki Rasoi and visit it quite often. The buffet is usually good. Today we decided to try Chaat and dosas. Chaat was not good at all. The papdi Chaat did not have authentic papdi. Also too much tamarind chutney. What really disappointed was the rava dosas. They were thick and the sambar very ordinary. The gajar halwa was ok. We had a surprise atthe end though. We had a surprise rasmalai given courtesy to make up for the gajar halwa. Saved the day! We will still come back but try other dishes...
