Modernly renovated beautiful building with historic flair and very special rooms. Excellent breakfast including very personal and welcoming integration through the two wonderful hosts. This has been a very special, relaxing and just wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived our experience was outstanding. Tom made us feel at home telling us about the B&B. He was helpful in providing incredible restaurant suggestions. Both Tom & Rick did everything they could to ensure our first experience on Cape Cod was fantastic. The breakfasts were not only delicious but entertaining, too. A first rate experience...Tom & Rick's service could not be better...they definitely make you want to return since it's impossible to decide whose scones really are better!

We were planning for an escape from busy day by day, and we were looking for a sunny place near the beach. Unfortunatelly the weather was terrible but still we decided to go, and we made the best bet to choose CDK house! It is homy and friendly, extremely confortable, and the hosts are just wonderful: carying, attentious, not invasive too. And they prepared such a funny experience for breakfast!! Try it, you will NOT forget it :) full of surprises! We definitely want to go back :)

My husband and I stayed at the Captain David Kelley House for two nights in August. From the moment we arrived Tom and Rick seemed as excited to meet us as we were them, they took a genuine interest in chatting to us and making sure they could help us out with reservations and ideas of what to in the local area. I also took part in Rick's Zumba class on the back deck on the Monday evening, this was great fun and worked off some pounds for the legendary breakfast the next morning!

The presentation of the scones was hilarious and was a really fun way to start off our day, we were lucky to meet Dr LivingScone and Frank Scone-atra whilst we were staying (as well as a rare appearance of the beautiful Mishka the cat). The breakfasts were delicious and just the right amount of food too. The house itself is beautiful and very grand, our room (the Captain Kelley Room) was perfect and had everything we needed. I also recommend a trip to Falmouth when staying here if you have a car, especially a visit to the lovely Glass Onion restaurant.

This is a B&B run by genuinely lovely guys who obviously care about what they do and the people they meet. I only wish we could have spent more time here during our New England road trip, we are already planning to return as soon as possible! Thank you Rick and Tom- we miss you already!

This B&B is truly extraordinary. It's beautiful, immaculately kept both inside and outside, and provides great breakfasts with entertainment and a variety of amenities like evening chocolates (of high quality--and I'm a chocolate snob!). The hosts engage in "scone wars," i.e. each takes a turn at making a special scone and presenting it at breakfast in the guise of a punny character such as "The Scone Ranger" or "Napoleon Sconaparte." The scones are each more delicious than the other, and Rick and Tom are hilarious! It's great to begin the morning with laughter and cheer, as well as with the great three-course breakfast! The rooms are appointed with the guests in mind. None of the economy of low-wattage bulbs--one can actually read in bed at this B&B. The toiletries are great, and the towels, including the beach towels, are of the first quality. Rick and Tom make every attempt to offer help, wonderful suggestions for sight-seeing, restaurants, beaches, galleries. The grounds are lovely, and the hosts encourage the guests to use them as well as the screened-in porch and living room. My husband and I very much hope to visit Captain David Kelly many more times. We were also lucky to be there in August, when Tom and Rick have their friend Steve help out, and what a delightful person he is! Altogether, a most pleasurable two weeks, so much so that we couldn't believe where the time went!

Room Tip: If you want total privacy for your windows and a forest view, choose The Phebe. It's also very q...

My husband, our friends and I stayed at Captain David Kelley House for three night in July. We have traveled in the US several times, mostly staying at Bed & Breakfast places. Captain David Kelley House is by far the best place we have ever stayed. The house is beautiful, everything from the furniture to the silver and china is handpicked to make sure it fits the house. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The hosts, Rick and Tom, made us feel welcome, gave us tips and advice, but knew when to step back. Every morning we had a three course breakfast of fruit, a hot meal cooked to perfection and a scone prepared by either Rick or Tom. The scones were served with music and a scone-show, so we had a great start of each day of our visit with amazing food and a laugh. We tell everybody in Denmark to go to Cape Cod and to make sure to stay with Rick and Tom.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the beautiful and gracious Captain David Kelley House! Tom and Rick are the most amazing of hosts, and see to every detail of your stay - from the beauty of the rooms, personal touches during your stay, and of course to the delicious and FUN breakfast. We stayed here on our wedding night and it was private and romantic. We are already planning our 1-year anniversary visit. Thank you!
