Great little Ski Resort. Very laid back and very reasonably priced. The instructors were just great and the ski patrol even volunteered their time to help my boys who were working on a scout badge!

Great place to take small children....good instructors, or great progression of lifts from Magic Carpet to small chair on easy hill to bigger lifts that will slow down for small kids. Great snow -long season this past winter.
Went skiing this past Sunday... Was a beautiful day and all the trails were open.. The staff is friendly and nice.. later had a beer in the lodge.. The prices are very resonable and the bartender was extremely pleasant.
The already very short 'hills' were impossible to go down fast or to even the middle, when it snows. You need to have it icy almost to go fast and to the bottom. We were also the first group, the 10 o'clock group. Maybe if you go from 2pm-4pm it may better.
It snowed at least 18" in Charlemont over the weekend, so lack of snow was not a problem, though freezing rain coated the snow with an icy layer. . Next to nobody on the slopes. Only one lift was open besides the bunny hill, not that there was a wait, but our biggest problem was the lack of signage. At the top of the only open lift there was no trail map, and none of the trails up there were marked, either with names or level difficulty signs. I did not see ski patrol out. I felt a little unsafe out skiing with my 3 boys (6,6, and 12) because if we'd had an accident I don't know what we'd have done. The food was ridiculously overpriced; I spent over $50 on lunch for four, and that was sharing waters to drink. Yikes! However, we spent 3.5 hours there and there were some trails I'd do again. A bit "boring" for my 12 year old but what isn't these days for him!
