I loved our stay at Warfield House Inn. You truly are staying on a farm. Ashley, the innkeeper, was very sweet and welcoming. If they could fix one thing, it would be to replace the mattresses. Ours was very squeeky and not too comfortable. Aside from that, very pleased. We will be back!

This place was so much more than I had expected. Beautiful views, very clean and the people were amazing! We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and it was very comfortable and accomodating. We got to feed the sheep, llamas and horses. It was my first time around horses and the inn keeper Ashley was great! She took us on a horse back ride up to an open field and she had packed a lunch for us. I felt very comfortable and safe while riding with her. She also cooked breakfast both mornings that was unbelievably good. Also, the restaurant on sitehad some of the freshed food! The burgers and pizza were among my favorites. They also had a wide variety of drinks! The general manager jerry came over with a couple of shots for us and was very freindly. I would recomend this place to anyone looking for a fun relaxing getaway! There are also other octivites to do right down the street such as zip lining, white water rafting or rock climbing. We signed up for the zip lining through Zoar and it was fantastic! That was also my first time zip lining and it was a great experience. The guides were fun and friendly. I will definately go back to the Warfield Inn!

This inn was the perfect place to check into after a day of rafting with my friends. It was super low key and casual, but that's what we were looking for. When we walked into the house there was just a note on the dining table with a phone next to it to call the, not inn keeper, but the woman who got us settled in. She showed us our rooms, gave us a brief rundown of the inn and how breakfast worked (basically a free-for-all between 8am and 10am), answer any questions we had, and let us know that we were free to wander around, just hang out, or use the glasses, plates, and microwave in the kitchen. So that's just what we did! We sat at the table on the porch overlooking the valley and the mountains all afternoon and early evening drinking beers and chatting. It was perfect. The bar/restaurant on site was great too, although it does close early (we just snuck in at 9:30pm and the kitchen was about to close). Nothing fancy, but the wings and sweet potato fries were surprisingly tasty and hit the spot.
Pros: Home-y, relaxed environment, super friendly staff, restaurant/bar on premises, cute farm animals, nicely appointed rooms, gorgeous views
Cons: Breakfast was a little chaotic (we came down at our arranged time and there was no more food or space at the table inside, so we had to sit outside, which was fine, and wait while the woman whipped up the next batch, not a big deal but if you were in a rush, it could be a problem), room got a little hot in the middle of the night

Wasn't quite sure what to expect when we drove up the long road especially after the reviews I had read. We had rafted that day and were ready to relax. We were not sure where to go when we arrived and went to the wrong house where no one answered. We then walked to the restaurant and were told by the manager to go to bungalow which was below the original house we went to. Our peaceful night started then when Melanie welcomed us into the house and showed us around. It is a very old fashioned homey type of place, so do not expect the amenities of a hotel. There were fresh baked cookies and a very comfortable front porch overlooking the most beautiful hills. So quiet and the air was so clean and fresh. The rooms are very clean and simple, and the beds were comfortable. We walked to their restaurant and had a great time sitting at the bar getting to know the manager. I had a most delicious pizza that is made fresh on site and my sons had what they described as the most delicious hamburgers they have ever eaten. The meat is from cows that they raise on the farm and spend their lives in the pastures eating grass. After dinner, we wandered around the different barns and had a blast visiting with a variety of animals and some very friendly cats.

Melanie cooked us a great breakfast and was extremely gracious. If you are looking for a very laid back, relaxing experience, Warfield is the place for you. Slow down and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!

Room Tip: I would recommend the bedroom on the second floor in the bungalow. It has its own bathroom. Not sure on the main house and how that is set up.
