“W-Inn-ter Wonderland in Chatham!”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

Style, sophistication, and luxury are the perfect adjectives to describe this gem! Chatham Gables Inn was honored with a Preservation Award from the town of Chatham, and rightfully so! The mansion was renovated a few years ago, and it is stunning; nothing was overlooked! David and Andrea are gracious hosts, having the property for just over a year. Our room was Room 7, a King room, large, spacious, and bright! We especially loved the original wavy glass in the beautiful bay window overlooking the side garden. The tub is deep enough for soaking, and the bath salts were indulgent! We were fortunate to be able to peek at a number of rooms with Andrea, and each is beautiful in its own respect. All rooms are gorgeous, filled with aromatherapy spa amenities, period antiques, and exquisite bed linens. We stayed at the inn in January, and Cape Cod is chilly this time of year! The front room, called the Library, was the perfect spot to sit by the fire with a hot cup of coffee and be warm as toast! Breakfast is individually plated, most creative, fit for a King and Queen, and served with kindness! The Inn is within walking distance to town, and there were plenty of shops, restaurants, and galleries open to fill an afternoon of wandering the village in the crisp sea air. If you are looking to get away to the Cape for a night or two, or maybe even more, Chatham Gables Inn is Cape Cod's Top Pick.

Room Tip: Room 7 was beautiful...... However after peeking at the other rooms- It would be hard to choose...

Three words we love hearing at CGI: style, sophistication and luxury! They are perfect adjectives to describe what we strive to provide to our guests. Although we were not the owners during the major renovation, we are so pleased Chatham Gables Inn has been honored with the Preservation Award. The modern amenities combined with the original charm are the perfect combination.
The Turkish towels, delicious spa scents and luxurious linens allow our guests to feel like Royalty during their stay with us. We invite you to join us during our warmer months to enjoy the beautiful beaches!

We stayed in Room 8, which was lavishly furnished with a queen-size sleigh bed and a fireplace, perfect for staying toasty in the cold January weather. The steam shower—along with the plush linens, bathrobes, and spa-quality soaps and lotions—provided the perfect end to a long walk on the winter beach. Andrea is an amazing hostess who made me feel perfectly at home eating breakfast on the sunny patio. (My only regret is that I did not beg for the recipe to the incredible pumpkin pudding she served—stay here, and you will be spoiled for life by the amazing food.) David is full of enthusiastic suggestions for anyone who wants to explore the hidden gems of the Cape in winter. He knows all the best places to walk, hike, and eat. His restaurant recommendations were impeccable! The fireplace in the common areas is a wonderful place to drink and sip wine (from the glasses thoughtfully stocked around the corner) while playing a board game, or just listening to the soothing music. If you want a quiet, romantic winter getaway, you will find exactly what you're looking for here.

Room Tip: Room 8 is next to the breakfast nook and boasts lovely antique furniture, a private fireplace, and a...

Room 8 is our latest renovation and find our guests absolutely adore this room! The steam shower and working fireplace are just the highlights of this room.
The pumpkin pudding is to die for, David just loves it as well! He enjoys sharing his love for the cape and knows of all the hidden must see spots in the area. We look forward to your next romantic getaway here at CGI!

We were so blessed to get two nights @ Andrea & David's beautiful Chatham Gables Inn...The breakfasts were out of this world delicious. We had to hunt around for dinner food...Longshore was a great pick. The linens were top-shelf and made us feel like royalty. Thank you, Andrea and David for sharing your home! Only thing missing: TV guide or instructions so that we could see what Comcast selections were available rather than scrolling randomly.

Room Tip: The cape is pretty 'dead' in winter; but this home is so cozy it didn't really matter.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We were so happy to welcome you into our beautiful Inn. Providing our guests with the most decadent breakfasts is one of the most enjoyable aspects of being the owners here at CGI. Please visit our website which newly provides a Vacation Guide with many recommendations for sites to see, restaurants and enjoyable activities in our area. We do have a few favorites for dinner during the off season and look forward to sharing them with you during your next stay.

We had a great stay at the Inn in January. Andrea and David are warm and welcoming but strike that perfect balance between being available and helpful without hovering. We stayed in an enhanced queen room with a fireplace and it was exquisite. The owners pay attention to detail, from cozy bathrobes and extra towels in the rooms, to wine glasses, chocolates, a double living room and sunny breakfast area in the public spaces. Our shower had a steam feature that warmed us after brisk winter walks. The entire place is spotless and Andrea and David have clearly been working on updating and upgrading rooms. Breakfasts were varied and tasty. They cheerfully adapted the menu to dietary restrictions. We'll definitely be back!!

We love welcoming guests during the winter months. We believe CGI is the perfect retreat to enjoy luxury and relaxation. All of our rooms offer Turkish Towels, luxurious linens and Zents amenities to allow our guests to feel like Royalty! Room 8 included the steam shower which is quite perfect after brisk walks along the water or through town! We are always happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions and understand some days people enjoy a lighter breakfast. We invite you to return during our warmer months to visit our many beautiful beaches and bustling downtown.

From the moment we pulled into the stone-covered driveway, we knew we made the right decision to spend a weekend at Chatham Gables Inn, especially during the holiday season.....Christmas was just around the corner, and the Inn was ablaze with whimsical lights and decor! We must have taken 100 photos to remember what our eyes had gazed upon! Not only was the exterior dressed in holiday fineness, but every room had bits of holiday delights! We were filled with childhood excitement before we even stepped foot into the entry! The fire was roaring, the tree was ablaze with lights and Old World ornaments galore! The living room was aglow with snow covered trees and the most adorable reindeer in every child's dream.....we enter our room #8 and yes, it is aglow with holiday delights, a roaring romantic fire....a little drummer boy surrounded in holiday greens and twinkle lights on the mantle, and a luxurious spa steam shower awaiting our use....the spa amenities were nothing we had ever experienced, and the bedding was so luxurious, it was hard to get out of bed for breakfast...but we were so glad we did!! Breakfast at CGI should be called Brunch! From the Chatham Art of Roasting Coffee, the home made fruit cobbler, to the Innkeepers' Omelette.... what more can be said other than Chatham Gables Inn is the place to call home in Chatham! David and Andrea understand what it means to "welcome" their guests to Chatham Gables Inn!

Room Tip: We loved room 8 because it was tucked away from the others and close to the great room with the fire...

We truly appreciate when our guests take the time to leave such flattering reviews for us here at CGI. Christmas is one of our favorite times here in Chatham. We love decorating both outdoors and indoors with the the most beautiful Christmas Decor along with calming Christmas music throughout our common areas. Room 8 was renovated soon after purchasing the Inn in 2012 and it continues to be a favorite with the steam shower, working fireplace and unique original floors. It is tucked away from the other rooms in the Inn but convenient to our breakfast room. The fruit cobbler you enjoyed was just recognized on Bed and Breakfast.com! We hope you are able to return again and stay in one of our many beautiful rooms.

What a gem! David and Andrea are so welcoming. Our room was perfection right down to the Turkish towels. The breakfasts Andrea whips up are not to be missed. Very nice sitting rooms that feel like home. Can't wait to go back in 2015.

Room Tip: We stayed on the second floor in the back in a King room. Very quiet.

My wife and I stayed here just prior to Christmas and we both can't wait to go back in 2014. The inn is beautiful both inside and out. Andrea has lovely taste in decorating and the inn looked wonderful with the Christmas decorations. The library and living room were great places to curl up with a book and a cup of coffee. We stayed in room 1 on the first floor which had a fireplace and an updated bathroom with excellent toiletries and appointments. Oh and the sheets! I dream about those sheets. So wonderfully soft and inviting. Honestly I just wanted to stay in bed. And let's not forget the breakfast. They have setup a weekly menu and I want to go back for a full week just to sample everything. The morning we were there we had some sort of orange pecan French toast. It was warm and gooey and melted in your mouth. Accompanied with some delicious, strong (just the way I like it) coffee and it was the perfect morning. But to be honest the best part of staying there were David and Andrea. They obviously love what they do and take so much time and care to ensure that their guests are comfortable. Every little detail has been taken care of and if there is something else, they wont hesitate to accommodate. Always cheerful and always ready with a recommendation for dinner or local attraction. They have a wonderful little inn and I cannot wait to go back.

Christmas is one our favorite times of year. We just adore decorating our beautiful Inn and are so pleased you enjoyed the detail of the decor! Room one is quite beautiful in the winter, especially with the fire place roaring as the snow falls! We continue to hear our guests express how wonderful our linens are and even have some customers purchasing them for their own homes! We hope you are able to return in 2014 and enjoy another decadent breakfast and luxurious stay. We look forward to treating you like royalty here at CGI.
