Small yet interesting museum containing railroad models and history. The kids loved it and especially going on the old caboose. The volunteer there was helpful in answering questions and great with the kids. A free attraction however donations are encouraged to maintain it.

This museum is quite small but has a wonderful character about it. We went into the Caboose outside and met a volunteer renvating the windows. The volunteers are obviously very proud of the museum and were friendly and helpful. There was no admission charge, donations are requested. A good museum to visit.

This beautiful museum, filled with endless treasures related to all aspects of the history of railroads, was so much fun to visit. Our family group consisted of toddlers to grandparents and everyone had fun and learned a great deal. The museum building is a wonderfully restored railroad depot built in 1887 and being able to go aboard the well preserved 1910 caboose was a special treat!

Stopped in the RR museum on an cold overcast day when we couldn't go to the beach. The museum is very cute, just one room but it houses a lot of memorabilia, our two year old so especially loved the restored caboose in the back of the museum. Great playground across from the museum as other reviewers mentioned, in addition the museum is next to the fire station.

Took my five year old to the railroad museum today. My first impression was it is small. But once we entered I was pleasantly surprised. The one large room was filled with antique memorabilia from lanterns and old telephones to model trains and old railroad police badges. There was even a toy wooden train for the young visitors. The smaller room was dedicated to the telegraph and train tickets. This was an exciting part because everything was hands on and my daughter really enjoyed listening to the sample Morse code and be able to "send" a message back. The highlight however was the full sized caboose in the back. It was interesting to see how life was like as a train engineer. All in all, I would recommend this stop to anyone who loves trains and has a twenty minutes to a half hour to spare.
