Absolutely loved everything about my stay here. Room 6 was clean, comfortable and beautiful. I loved having a fireplace in my room. The owners, Jim and Val made it even more amazing. It was like coming home! The breakfast was wonderful. The homemade cookies were amazing and always available. The grounds were neat and clean and I wished I had more time to just sit in the yard and take it all in. What I enjoyed the most was the way Jim and Val wanted to make sure I had everything I needed and knew where to go and what to see while I was at the Cape. The detailed instructions from Jim along with the map was wonderful. I'm saving it for my return trip next summer where I will plan on staying with them again.

We spent two wonderful nights at the Carriage House in September. The owners, Jim and Val, are the perfect B&B hosts. Jim welcomed us and over the course of our stay, gave us ideas for great restaurants, beaches, and places to visit. His picks were spot-on and were greatly appreciated. Val prepared delicious breakfasts every morning, such as marmelade stuffed french toast and quiche. Plus, they have little snacks available throughout the day, like fresh baked cookies. Overall, the decor is exactly what you'd hope for from a Cape Cod B&B: a very tastefully remodeled main home with rooms in a restored carriage house. We recommend Room 6, which has its own little outdoor sitting area. Enjoy!

Jim and Val have a wonderful place! Beautifully decorated cottages with gas fireplaces, delicious breakfasts, witty conversations with the innkeeper and great friends. We come back year after year for our winter holiday. Fran & Gina

Having driven up from NYC, we were tired and thirsty. We were greeted by Jim with a warm smile and the first thing we were asked was would we like a drink and a sit down. It felt like we had come home to a loving relative. Jim and Val are so proud of what they do and it shows. We were welcomed in and Jim spent some time helping us get acquainted with where we were. We were the shown to our room. Number 5. Spotless and so homely! A lovely big comfortable bed which was raised off the ground (climbing into it was a joyous experience!) and had the best linen in town. The room has a fire place and has been carefully decorated. It's charming and immediately felt like home. Once we were settled, Jim took us into the living room, started a fire and began to suggest some of the sights, sounds and tastes we might like to experience whilst staying in Chatham. Jim designed a 4 day itinerary and so began a magical visit to Chatham. Vals breakfasts should be legendary. Each day something new and exciting to look forward too. Be sure to make Jim extoll the wonders of the juice choices at breakfast. A warm and fun couple. We actually felt sad to leave them. We managed to share a bottle of wine with them one evening and loved hearing all their stories. They're one of the hidden Gems of Cape Cod! Jim has thoroughly researched the area and has such great ideas about what to do. It seems like everyone in town knows and loves Val and Jim. Wherever we went they were spoken about so fondly and we understood exactly. Val insisted we take water and a snack each day in case we got hungry in between meals. Ask Jim to suggest what you should do. He really has the best ideas! Most importantly, please give them a huge hug from us. My wife and I fell in love with Jim and Val and plan to visit again as soon as possible. Cape Cod is equally charming. Do some whale watching. Try the hot chocolate that Jim suggests. Just of the cranberry highway if I remember correctly. Take the drive to all the places Jim suggests if you have the time. Val and Jim are a credit to Cape Cod. If you think I am overdoing the praise for them, meet them and you will see what we saw! Thank you Val and Jim for a truly magical time and we look forward to returning. Oh. See what birds you can spot during breakfast. A five star experience which is very affordable. True value for money. I don't think I am the first to say all of this about Val and Jim and I won't be the last either. Book your place ASAP. They are number one in our books. (I am not related, but wish I was!)

My husband and I found our stay at the Carriage House Inn to be a wonderful experience! The accomodations were terrific and the innkeepers were very friendly and highly professional. Travelers to Chatham would be very wise to stay at the Carriage House Inn, a choice we were happy we made. The innkeepers, Val and Jim, made us feel right at home with the fantastic and generous breakfasts and all the suggestions and information we needed. We will certainly travel back to Chatham and we will definitely stay at the Carriage House Inn. We highly recomend it. Sincerely, Mary Ellen and Marty Gately
