The room at the Carriage House, #5, was exactly as promised by the photo on their web site. We slept in a nice comfy 4-poster queen bed with a sheer fabric covering on top.

TV's have been upgraded to hi-definition, and there are a number of channels with hi-def signals. Most hotels we've stayed in have the right TV's but only provide standard signals.

Chatham is a picturesque town, and this B&B fits in perfectly. Be sure to visit The Squire Restaurant and Tavern for a glass of Cape Cod Red ale, and consider one or more of the useful restaurant suggestions on the B&B's web site.

Breakfasts and hospitality were both excellent. I ordered the champagne, chocolate, and rose for our return from dinner on the last night, as described on the web site. My wife was both surprised and impressed with the result :-). It made a nice ending to a great vacation!

What a great stay we had in Chatham. It was just too short. Aside from the Cape being a beautiful place to visit with the wonderful charm of Chatham surrounding us, it was made ever more pleasant by the hospitality of our inn keepers, Tim and Paula and the attractiveness of our accomodations.

I honestly cant complain about anything other than perhaps the fact that the rooms, while comfortable and quite attractive, were a bit small. Ive been to others with larger rooms but then again, with hospitality that is not to the same standards as what Tim and Paula provided.

From the moment we arrived, they came outside to greet us as we parked our cars and helped us with our bags. Immediately they gave us a tour and set us up with our room keys. They were well prepared in that they had all tourism information, including menus of all restaurants in Chatham and the surrounding towns. Paula even went as far as to help us with making recommendations and making our reservations for us (since she apparently is known by many of the restaurants to which Im sure she refers many of her customers)

Breakfasts that were provided from 8:30 to 9:30 were wonderful. everyone staying at the inn was clearly happy with their stay and we all got to know each other a bit while there, sharing our experiences and hats off to the chef which rivaled that of any quality country restaurant.

Despite the size of the rooms, we found our accomodations quite comfortable with very quaint and aesthetically pleasing decor. But what made this inn one we would visit again and again, is the kindness of our innkeepers. We all knew each other by our first names and hugs were exchanged when we left. Tim and Paula just have the perfect personalities for running an B&B and they clearly pay attention to the details and clearly know how to do it right.

I would highly recommend the Carriage House for its price, decor, and hospitality.

Our first mistake was only booking for 2 nights, although the damage done to our waistlines during this short visit may negate this!

Tim and Paula are lovely - with the interesting juxtaposition of Tim in the kitchen and Paula as front of house and excel at their roles. Both were very welcoming, interesting and interested, and a font of knowledge on the area.

Our room was lovely with a private garden which, unfortunately, we just didn't have time to use properly. Chatham itself is a pretty little town, and, in September when we visited, busy enough without being too frantic. You gamble with the weather at this time of the year but the upside is you can always get reservations at great restaurants and inns like the Carriage House.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this establishment to anyone with an ounce of sense - you won't regret it.

This is a wonderful inn situated in a lovely part of New England. Tim and Paula are everything and more that previous reviews have highlighted. They provided us with great recommendations as to which beaches were best for walking (Nausett was magical), the best lobster rolls (my favourite was in Wellfleet) and where to dine locally (The food at Pisces was excellent although we felt we were told off for being ten minutes early, and yet it was interesting that no apology was forthcoming when we were shown to our table some twenty minutes late!!)

Our room was lovely, very clean with homely additions. The library of current DVD's was useful when we just wanted to 'chill'. Not only were the breakfasts fascinating and plentiful, but we also enjoyed talking to the other guests sat around the 'communal' table. This is really what travel is about.

Chatham is a charming town with an assortment of quality shops, particularly bookstores. I would recommend a visit to the town harbour to watch the fish being landed with the seals looking interestingly on. And do try Nickerson's fish and chips next to the landing quay. It doesn't get any fresher than this, although we found that we could have shared one portion between us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Tim and Paula in their fine Inn.

P.S. Although one could walk to town, most people will require a car to get around and to travel to eat on an evening

This inn has a great location for easy access to all points of Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Hosts Tim and Paula could not have been more helpful. They have vaste knowledge about the region and furnished maps, directions, suggestions and made reservations as needed instantly. They never steered us wrong. The extras -- Tim's homemade breakfasts, warm cookies in the afternoon, snacks and beverages always available, beach chairs, beach towels, DVDs -- were the perfect added touch. It seemed more like we were visiting dear friends.

My wife and I had such a great time. Everything about the Carriage House Inn was wonderful...from the delicious breakfast to the gorgeous, comfortable room itself, to the beach chairs and beach bag just waiting for us to take to the beach. We never had to worry about a thing the whole time we were there. We just enjoyed it all. Also, the location is perfect. It's convenient to downtown Chatham and the beach (swim with seals!) and is centrally located to other parts of the Cape. We look forward to spending future Cape Cod vacations at the Carriage House Inn.
