“First Winter Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 January 2014

Have visited this small (internal staircase) tower many times for the beautiful view. This was the first Winter visit after the recent blizzard. Just beautiful even from the parking lot. Cold & windy !

“Nice view!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

A little hard to find, up Scargo Hill Rd., which runs off of Old Bass River Rd., off Main St. from Village by the Gazebo! Two water views in one! Scargo Lake and Cape Cod Bay.
The tower inside has a winding metal staircase. Go at the time of a sunset! Becareful, you may want to bring a flashlite. No lights. Daytime of course is great on a clear day. Not a lot of parking.
People are pretty mindful of this and share their turns and spaces. Enjoy! Free!

“Worth A Stop If You Are In The Area”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2013

The Scargo Hill Observation Tower is definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the Dennis area. It overlooks Scargo Lake and provides some nice panoramic views of the Cape ( especially on bright sunny days ). There is enough parking for about 6 to 8 cars, and you need to go up a narrow metal stairway ( less than 50 steps ), to get to the top.

Overall a nice 30 minute stop if you are passing through Dennis. Otherwise save the gas......

“Worth a look if you are in the area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2013

Certainly worth stopping here if you are in the area, there are great views from this 30-foot tower at the top of a hill near Scargo Lake. From the tower, you can see almost all of Cape Cod from on the bay side, including Provincetown. It is the 3rd tower on this site, the others were destroyed by, respectively a storm and fire. Free parking, tower itself has a 38 step circular stair, so is not handicapped accessible.

“You're kidding?!?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2013

Eh? This is sight seeing? Don't get me wrong the view is nice but this is a 30 foot shocker, you drive up a sharp hill to be confronted with what looks to be a stunted helter skelter. I've seen some underwhelming sights in my life but this slips into my top 10 oversold places quite easily. You've been warned.
