Our family has followed the evolution of the Borsari Gallery from an old barn to a gallery to a tea room. We have been delighted with this journey and enjoy having lunch or tea each year when on Cape Cod. The afternoon tea is special with a link to the original English celebration with a pot of teach, small sandwiches and delicious cakes. The lunch menu is very good with excellent sandwiches and salads as well as terrific pie for dessert. The high ceilings and beautiful art assure the guests that they will stimulated by both taste and sight. The Borsaris are wonderful hosts with an eye to what each guest needs as well as ensuring a overall feeling of comfort. Note that the Tea Room is open 6 days a week (but never on Saturday, somewhat of an anamoly for Cape restaurans, but with a good rationale so ask them),

My friend and I both host very elegant afternoon teas at our homes several times a year so we approach each visit to a tearoom with a "critical" eye.We were looking for somewhere new on the Cape other than The Dunbar and the Tea Shop at Mashpee Commons and I happened upon the Village Tearoom's website. Although our preference is to have tea in a more Victorian setting, we kept an open mind and decided to visit on a beautifully warm spring day. The barn is charming, though very rustic so we were a little unsure as to how tea might be served. Well, to our surprise the tea was served in elegant English fashion. Beautiful china tea cups and teapots in various patterns and styles. Not cups purchased at a restaurant supply! There were 4 of us so we ordered two of the Afternoon Teas and 2 additional scones. The tea consisted of a scone with real Devon cream and strawberry jam. 4 tea sandwiches and 4 tea desserts Served warm, the scones were brought to us first with a lovely teapot filled with the tea of our choice.
Next we were served the 4 tea sandwiches along with the delightful selection of 4 sweets. Allergic to mayonnaise, I asked if the sandwiches could be prepared without..George, the Tea Chef came to our table personally to be sure I was happy with them.. Our server Rachel was exceptional! Knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor. Our friends ordered the Victorian Afternoon Tea and we had the Darjeerling. The Victorian tea had an unusual smokey flavor which none of us liked. Rachel quickly took it away and replaced it with a pot of Earl Grey. Not only did she replace the tea but she replaced the tea cups as well. Very good service!
Everyone we came in contact with was pleasant and engaging and the whole experience was lovely. We are looking forward to our next visit and
encourage anyone who enjoys afternoon tea to stop in to the Village Tearoom in Dennis, Ma.

Ate there today with some friends and had the special. I can't remember what they called it -- but it was shaved turkey, avocado, tomato and cucumber with a little lemon and mayo and we all had it in a wrap and it was delicious! It should be on the menu permanently. The tea room is lovely and the art is beautiful.

We found this gem two years ago while driving down historic Route 6A. I reviewed it last year and I need to say that the place is still as wonderful as ever. The food, service and ambiance are first class. This place is perfect on a rainy Cape day for some hot tea and delicious homemade soups that hit mark in every way. (It is perfest on a sunny day also.) The service is first rate and the owners are extremely welcoming and friendly. We hope that The Village Tea Room continues to be the ultimate Cape Cod success story. We plan on returning everytime we visit the Cape!
