Our last visit to Clancy's was in 2008. When we make it to the Cape we go to Clancy's for the fish. We always order at least one serving of the fish n chips. This time my hubby and I shared an order of fish n chips and a large tavern salad. Like our last visit, we enjoyed Clancy's food. Our fish n chips had 4 pieces of cod filet, fries and coleslaw. The salad was fresh and crunchy. We also received rolls and refills on our sodas.

We visited for dinner at about 5:30 p.m. on 10/24/13. The place was very busy for off season - parking lots (both front and back) were full.

Note: the menu link on this site is outdated. We paid $17.00 for the fish n chips, not $13.00 that appears on the link.

We have dined here many times over the past 13 years, in fact considered it a "go to" place for consistentancy when we had guests. Our last visit was somewhat disappointing. The view, of course has not changed and is quite nice. The service was still good. The food which is normally better than average was a let down. The prices have increased and the portions were smaller. That would not have been a problem if the food was tasty. The scallop special had only 4 scallops and the bacon wrap was not cooked-nothing worse than slimy bacon! The salmon was ok, but small with average baked potato. The best dish was the fried fish, which has always been good. Not sure if we will keep this one on our list, after all these years. So sad.

We were given a gift certificate and decided at the last minute to give it a try. We were delighted to find four dinner offerings that included either soup or salad and a choice of dessert for just $20. Now we did not expect a fine dining experience but could not have more pleasantly surprised by the downright goodness and quality of the food we received. We both had clam chowder for starters and it could not have been i proved upon. I had twin beef tenderloins and my partner had pork tenderloin. Each was dish had a generous serving of wonderful mashed potatoes and a colorful medley of veggies. We ended our meal with apple crisp and mudslide pie. Our server was polite and professional. The next best thing was that our food arrived with very little wait time...perfecto!

This was our family's second visit to Clancy's. Both times we were very pleased with both the service and the food. The seafood salad was outstanding and I believe the most satisfying salad I have ever had. All those in our party were happy with their menu selections. Servings were ample. The atmosphere is casual as it is in many Cape Cod restaurants. At Clancy's you would be comfortable dressing up a bit or dressing down. Great place for families as there are many menu items to choose from.

We had never been to Clancy's but will definitely return! We stopped for dinner on a Thursday. They offered a $20 three course menu. I had the clam chowder as an appetizer and I can say it's the best I've had on the Cape to-date. Beef tenderloin with mashed potato and fresh steamed vegetables for the entree was tender, flavorful. My dessert selection was apple crisp which was also good. Our service experience was excellent!
