Here they do NOT pack you in like sardines! The servers are great, the prices even better. This is a local place, they LIKE you being there. There is no rush to get you out .
The food is very good, and the portions are actually too generous. You will end up taking food home.
The scrod is cooked to perfection, and the sausage dishes are as good as Arthur Ave. in NYC.
The sauce is old style Italian.
Again the service is pas good as it gets. That and the quality of the food, and the prices makes this place something to try.
They can do something about the atmosphere. But outside of that , try it

This restaurant puts out some the worst italian food I have ever tasted. We have eaten italian cuisine all over the world and in the U.S. but the pasta tastes like it has been sitting in the pot way too long. The sauce is so bland that it seems it came out of an expired can with no taste what so ever. In the dead of summer there was hardly anyone in the restaurant which should have tipped us off. This is no place on the Cape to take in an italian meal.

For years we have driven by on vacation and wanted to have dinner and we finally did it! The restaurant is in a house and it is very pretty inside. Our waitress was great and the bread was nice and warm. Salad was very good. Our meals were cooked to order which took a while but that was okay. I only wished that there was a Scampi dish on the menu. But, all in all we had a very enjoyable evening.

Visiting the Cape we love to sample all of the delicious cape seafood. But after a few nights we like a little something different. La Scala was that little something different. It is located in a old sea captains home with an antique feel. The menu was diverse so if someone in your party didn't want Italian they would be pleased.
We started with the house salad with a delicious fresh Italian dressing. The bread served was crusty and warm. We had Eggplant and Chicken Parmesan. They were both fabulous. Not greasy but cooked to perfection. The marinara sauce tasted very authentic. We brought home leftovers and had no room for dessert. Just remember to take cash - they don't take credit. If you forget they have an ATM on site.
We will go again on another Cape Escape.

My husband and I love this restaurant. The staff is very welcoming also the restaurant is very comfortable and cozy!
The food is delicious - all the entrée's are served with a wonderful salad and warm bread. Their house Pinot Grigio is great.
It's also a great place to relax and just have drinks too! Casual atmosphere - many locals go here - so you know it's a great place!
