“Very nice stay”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

We stayed for 3 nights in Aug. Wonderful, very clean rooms, heated pool, quiet at night. Nice breakfast spot next door. large deck leading to beach. Nice lounge chairs at pool and deck with additional ones to use at beach. We will come again.

We stayed 3 nights in late July and were very pleased with our choice of Colony for our first visit to Cape Cod. The property is neat and has a terrific deck on the beach so you can enjoy the view without getting sandy if you like. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only draw backs were the bath towels were tired and scratchy, the mattresses were very firm, and the bed linens should be refreshed.

Stayed July 4th weekend, which, at other motels other years, has included lots of noise (especially from kids in the pool), surly staff, and difficulty accessing the beach. But at the Colony Beach, we had none of that. The hotel was full, but it was very quiet. The beach is small but well maintained and not too crowded. The room (double, 2nd floor, facing the pool), though not glamorous, was well maintained and clean. Other reviewers complained about the beds; we did not experience any problems. We had just one complaint about the room -- the lack of a coffee maker! Coffee is available in the lobby, but not until 8:00 am. Early birds need their coffee!!

The highest compliments to the staff. Carlos was very helpful and caring. And then there is Jasmine. She was the most outstanding desk person we've ever had the pleasure to encounter at any hotel anywhere. She went so far out of her way to help us (with something completely unrelated to the hotel itself) that we were stunned, then pleased, then so grateful that we had to single her out in this review.

We are already planning our next trip to the Cape, and it will definitely include staying at the Colony Beach.

It was a cute hotel. The pool is great and I love that is right on the beach. Last summer we were able to go to the beach every day. At night we were able to walk to Dennis Port for dinner. There is also a health food store down the street. It is the highlight of the year.

Room Tip: There are some rooms with kitchenettes and suites. It was nice to have the kitchen part for our stay...

Keep in mind that is a motel and note a hotel and you will be fine.

This is a great place for families with small kids or people 50+.

Placement of pool and access to the beach is superb. A little isolated for teens for young couples wanting to be social.

we had one of the larger hotel rooms which made the stay more expensive.

Room Tip: No not stay in a room in the front of the hotel (it's the parking lot). stay in the back of the...

I just returned from a four night stay; we ve been here every year since 1990 and now visit twice a season. The owner is in the process of upgrading all the rooms and the well landscaped property. There s a new deck overlooking the beach and a stone patio above the deck. Rooms are meticulously cleaned and the heated pool is spotless. If you are lucky enough to secure an ocean front room, you can here the ocean lapping up on the beach. The owner Cheryl and staff Carlos and Lisa are the best!
