I was very hesitant to book something sight unseen on the internet- pictures can be deceptive. Finally after weeks of research we made the commitment and off we went. What a delightful experience An English Garden was.
In addition to the ambience of the cape the innkeepers Joe and Anita are delightful. Truly nice genuine people who are simply enjoying what they do and do it well. The Inn was clean, well maintained, quaint and quiet. The flowers surrounding the inn are absolutely beautiful!
Anything that could possibly be needed was available.
Our room overlooked Inman beach which is just 1 block from the inn. Walking through the streets gave a nice view of the many homes in the area.
The breakfasts were grand and certainly made you look forward to what would be awaiting you the next day!
I would recommend this lovely B & B to anyone that finds themselves in this area. I will certainly stay again when I get back to the Cape.

I just returned from my honeymoon in in Cape Cod and it was so wonderful. I found a lovely B&B in Dennis Port, MA while searching online ( http://www.anenglishgardenbb.com) and it was such a great experience I have to share. I was a bit hesitant to book my honeymoon at a B&B at first because of the "close quarters" that you usually end up in. We wanted privacy but at the same time we wanted the service and local charm that a B&B provides. This one was perfect. We booked the carriage house suite on the second floor with a balcony/deck. It is detached from the main house and has a living room, kitchenette, bedroom and a washer and dryer in the bathroom. We also had TVs in both the living and bedroom and we were located about 150 feet from the beach. The owners, Anita and Joe, were incredibly nice and very helpful in finding things to do around the area, as this was our first visit. Our suite was beautifully decorated and kept spotless by the staff, yet we always felt like we had complete privacy. We had the option of having breakfast in the main house each morning, as well as having access to their computer (with WiFi service, if you happen to bring your own laptop), a video and DVD library and a menu for almost every restaurant in the area.
We will definitely return next year!

We have just returned from a short holiday at this excellent B & B in Dennisport and cannot recommend it highly enough. Anita and Joe are great hosts and they know how to look after their guests without ever intruding. Delicious breakfasts - make sure that you have a good walk afterwards though! Bedrooms are charming and we loved our Juliet balcony. Opening the windows let a pleasant sea breeze into the room, so we did not need to use the air conditioning.

My wife and I decided last minute to go to Cape Cod and found this wonderful B&B on the basis of previous reviews. They had a room available for Saturday night that was perfect for our short trip. I had never stayed at a B&B and was a bit worried about our privacy. But this place was great! First off, the owners Anita and Joe were very gracious and friendly, but not nosy. Our room (#304) had a great view of the ocean from a "Juliet" balcony. There was also a nice cross-ventilation due to many windows and the ocean of course! The ceilings are bit low since it is on the top floor, but just watch your head. The bathroom is clean and spacious. The common areas are tastefully decorated with personal mementos of Joe's and Anita's. There are some family photos scattered about which makes the place seem very homey and welcoming. They have menus of several nearby restaurants available (the Ocean House is a great restaurant literally 5 minutes away walking). Lots of pamphlets of touristy stuff available. They also have towels and beach chairs for guests to use at the beach that is down the street. The beach is a small one--the Cape Cod National seashore is definitely worth going to. The breakfast room offered views of the ocean and was very nicely laid out with plenty of small tables for couples. The breakfast itself was very filling and satisfying. Eggs or french toast plus fruit salad, yogurt, fresh squeezed OJ and yummy scones. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Gracious hosts, great breakfast, comfortable rooms with nice views, plenty of space around the house for couples who don't feel like socializing with all the other guests. I would definitely consider staying here again and hopefully for more than one night next time.

English Garden is a beautiful choice! The accommodations are not only beautiful and comfortable, but affordable. Our room looked right out onto the beach, which was less than a minute walk from the inn! Breakfast each morning was delicious, and Anita and Joe were warm and very helpful. There is a lot of information around the inn if you're unfamiliar with the area...including a computer with internet access! As a young couple in our mid-20s, we couldn't have been happier with our stay. We would highly recommend staying here (for all ages!), and we hope to return in the future!

We just returned from a USA/Canada trip in May and June 2008.
We stayed 5 days and had a really good time. The rooms are very nice and clean and each of them is decorated in a different style. Some have a private deck facing the ocean. It ist possible to use alle facilities, watch TV in the living room, eat in the Dining room, use free internet access and the jacuzzi. They also offer beach towels ans umbrellas free of charge.
The best part are the owners Anita and Joe. They are such nice people who try to do verything to make you feel comfortable. Their breakfast- it varies every day- is just delicious! The only thing they cannot change is the weather ;o)
If we should have the possibility to go to the cape again: This is definitely our first choice!!!

Fabulous accommodation in excellent location - close to the beach and restaurants.
Excellent hosts i.e. Anita, Joe and Mary - they just couldn't do enough for us.
Wonderful home cooked breakfasts - scones to die for!
Selection of dvd's and videos to watch in the beautifully decorated sittingroom - loved the Dean Martin Variety Shows - brought back many childhood memories for me.
Adored the garden.
