We just completed our third stay at the English Garden. It is a beautiful spot. The owners are very friendly. The house is gorgeous. Our room was Cape Cod quaint. Nice and clean. We overlooked the water and had a balcony to take in the views. The breakfast area is very clean and there is a good selection each day. They supply beach chairs, towels and umbrellas and the beach is just down the road. No complaints. It is as pretty as its pictures.

In addition to the delicious breakfasts, we really enjoyed the beautiful garden and central location of this B&B. The B&B is only a block from a small public beach and close to everything on the Cape due to it's mid-way location. One main offering that changes each day for breakfast and then staples of fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee cake/pastry, bagels, plus juice, etc. The cinnamon finish on the coffee made it a great way to start the day. The breakfast room looks like it was freshly painted and has lots of windows overlooking the lovely garden, the ocean, or both. We stayed on the 3rd floor in the front of the building-- while there is no elevator, the stairs were not a problem. While the bathroom was small, it was adequate for what we needed, and we had chairs, a dresser, a wardrobe, and a balcony-- plenty of room for two friends and our luggage. The whole place was clean and housekeeper kept our room tidy. We were surprised, but pleased, that she put new sheets on the bed about halfway through our 5-night stay. While we kept the windows open most of the time, we used the air conditioner on the last night when it was extremely humid. The roses and other flowers in the garden make this a beautiful place to stay and we enjoyed our visit a lot.

We spent 4 nights here and stayed in two different rooms. Both had views of the ocean less than a block away. The rooms were nicely decorated in accordance with the property name. The hosts provided recommendations for dining, some of which are within walking distance, and additional literature regarding attractions. Breakfast buffet includes fresh pastry (different each day), cereals, juice, coffee and tea, fresh fruit. In addition each day there was a special cooked individually which was delicious.

Room Tip: Third floor room had a better ocean view than second floor room.

Our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren joined us for a weekend to celebrate our 65th anniversary in mid-May, and it could not have been a nicer experience. Not only were our rooms lovely, but the living rooms and entire house was warm and inviting, and the sunny dining room and breakfasts were beyond expectations. Our hosts, Mark and Sue, treated us like family, and we would highly recommend An English Garden for a lovely time away. Rita and Jerry

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, and the suites perfect for children.

My wife and I stayed here in Late Feb of 2014. The unit we had was an efficiency and very nice. The view down to the ocean was quite something to see. The unit we had was number 2 over the carriage house. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Unit #2 is an upper level efficiency with a nice deck view of the ocean.

Anita and Joe are the perfect hosts for this cozy home away from home. Anita, a well know stage actress, is full of life and positive vibes. The B&B is located just a block from a small picturesque beach. The living room and den are warm and comfortable. The dining area is full of windows and inviting. The breakfasts are wonderful ....eggs, pancakes, bacon, fruit, plus a freshly baked cake each AM. Our rooms were located on the 3rd floor ....which .... with luggage was a climb. Our room, 304, was rather small and sparsely furnished. Only 1 nightstand, no chest of drawers, 3 hangers in the closet, an old T.V. But the bed was comfy, Jacuzzi tub was nice and an ocean view from the edge of the room with a tiny balcony. It felt more like a small hotel room rather then a B & B. It was built like one with 4 rooms on the 2nd floor plus 4 more on the third plus one on the ground floor and additional rooms in a detached building next to the house. It was missing the home feeling ..... however ..... the public rooms, breakfast and our hosts made up for it.

Room Tip: If you have trouble climbing stairs with luggage, ask for a lower floor.

Thank you for your review. We listen to our guests, we have replaced the old TV's with new flat screen smart TV's. We have been scouring antique stores this winter and now all our rooms have chests of drawers. We have also repainted our guest rooms and made our third floor balconies larger so you may now sit out and enjoy the view.

My husband & I stayed at An English Garden B&B while visiting Cape Cod for our 20th Anniversary. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect spot. Our 2nd floor suite of the carriage house was gorgeous. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evenings to enjoy a glass of wine. The breakfast room in the main house was lovely & the breakfast was delicious.
We would highly recommend this B&B!
