“Great Ambience and food”
Reviewed 5 September 2013

Stopped by the Lost Dog Pub on our way to Nauset Town Beach a few weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised by the value and tastiness of the lunch we had. The service was excellent and the food well prepared and presented. Besides that, the price was excellent.

“Really nice pub”
Reviewed 28 August 2013 via mobile

Finally got to this place after 7 years of coming to the cape. It's worth it! Great casual place. Good food and nice service. It's just a really nice pub for adults and very kid friendly!

“Good service, nice break from the tourist”
Reviewed 23 August 2013

The Lost Dog Pub provided a relaxing, out of the way spot for lunch on a busy Friday in August when dining out can be tricky. We didn't have to wait (what a treat on the cape in summer), it was nice to be out of the hot sun and in the A/C and service was excellent. Our waitress even cleared our plates, attended to our every need and got everything right the first time. The fries were excellent, my son loved his burger, our other items were good. The best ever? No, but good at fair prices. Four of us went out to lunch at a reasonable price which is welcomed after a week of Cape Cod price-gouging. Actually we would give this 3 and 1/2 stars if there was a half star option! I think this would be a great hang-out with a few friends for some adult beverages and pub food. We were with our kids. The restaurant area is away from the bar area which is important to us. We don't/won't bring our kids to bars.

“Delicious GF pizza”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

Ate here with large group specifically for gluten free pizza for my 6 year old with celiac. Local pub atmosphere with friendly service. The GF pizza was excellent as was the regular pizza. Burgers, fries, salads all large and fresh tasting. Shrimp grilled perfectly. A nice surprise in an unassuming location. Will definitely return.

“Gone very much downhill since last visit”
Reviewed 4 August 2013

Dined here evening of August 3rd, 2013.
After enjoying visit here last year, returned and was very disappointed.
People are friendly enough, but the whole place is designed to get you in and out as fast as possible.
Made the mistake of ordering a starter. Don't. About a quarter of way through eating the starters, the entrees arrived. I asked that they be sent back and kept warm until we were actually ready for them. The second that the starters were finished they were whisked away and the entrees returned. No attempt had been made to keep them warm, and yet the French fries were severely undercooked. Undercooked cold fries are not fun. No apology offered for basically trying to rush us through as fast as they could, with no thought to the actual quality of the food or the chance to enjoy eating it.
Waitress was very sweet, but somewhat clueless. Ordered a bottle of wine - no attempt to offer the chance to taste it, just poured. Not her fault, clearly has not been trained properly.
If going here - eat in bar not restaurant. Don't have a starter, and plan to be in and out in 20 minutes. We shall not go back which is a shame, as we really enjoyed this place last year.
