Brilliant homemade food and always great ale on the pumps. Very cosy especially in the winter with the roaring log fire. The nicest pub in the area for food/ale

We visited recently Sunday lunch. The food was very good, but Roast Beef was the only choice for a Sunday lunch. The was ample meat which was well cooked a very a small yorkshire pudding similar to Aunt Bessie's and two underdone roast potatoes. The veg bowel contained "seasonal veg" and what were described as butter tossed new potatoes. Despite numerous recommendation we have been given by friends about the Crown, the meal was enjoable but average. Perhaps we will try the menu when we return.

The Crown Inn is a nicely decorated pub with a good atmosphere and staff that are polite and friendly. I have eaten at this restaurant on many occasions, the service and food served has always been of a very high standard. The menu is varied with a choice to suit all tastes, however if you are wanting to eat in a traditionally laid out restaurant, this may not be the place for you. This pub is very popular with a good reputation locally, therefore if you wanting to eat in the evening, you will need to arrive early to avoid disappointment. The layout of the pub car park is not good so parking can be problematic.

I visited this pub in July. The car parking was haphazard and made parking difficult. The food was not hot and not tasty at all. The landlord was totally dis interested in our complaints. I will certainly never go back.
