Stayed in the Iris room this time and arrived before anyone else checked in so got a tour of all the other rooms which were all lovely and interesting, with antiques and artful decoration. The owners, John and Cindy, are very hospitable and helpful. Got to meet Diane this time, the artist in the family. The inn is so clean and well taken care of and the common areas are welcoming. It's easy to just feel at home here. Breakfast is delicious and made to order. Very convenient location too. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: I liked the Iris room for my husband and I -- king bed and ample room with sitting area. There are...

This week I spent three nights at the beautiful Nauset House Inn. It is about a half a mile from Nauset Beach which is where the National Seashore begins.
The time at the Inn is so relaxing, getting away from all of the noise and clatter of the world. There are no TV's here to distract from the serene beauty of the Inn and its grounds. The short drive to Orleans is so convenient, it takes few minutes to get there. Orleans has the bikepath which goes a good distance on the Cape.
John and Cindy who run the Inn are so accommodating and welcoming it really is like coming home, Juice or wine in the afternoon is a great way to gather with others and get ideas for where and what to eat in all price ranges.
The breakfasts in the brick floored dining room is another thing to not be missed, it is a real treat. Pancakes, homemade granola (my favorite), or eggs prepared in different ways.
I mentioned to John and Cindy that it is like sitting with family and catching up for a short time before the day begins a truly warm and welcoming feeling, totally comfortable.
I can not recommend it enough as a quiet getaway. I spent a fair amount of time just relaxing in the main room reading in my days and nights there. At Nauset House whoever you are, you will be welcomed.
PS. I stayed in the room in the main house named "Sundew" the bed was very comfortable, plenty of room for the things I brought with me and quiet.

Room Tip: I say, take a look at each and stay that feels the best to you, they are all great rooms, even the o...

Stayed one night and felt welcomed and cared for. Rooms spacious. A little dated but adequate. What stood out was the plentiful home made breakfasts with multiple choices. All excellent. Great hosts. Lots of repeat customers. Plan to come again.

From other reviews, you can see that couples love it here. However, if you've ever dreamed about getting away by yourself and going to the Cape, I found Nauset House Inn great for a solo trip. I just spent 6 nights here solo (mid-May). I felt safe and comfortable at the inn. The innkeepers are wonderful - low key and friendly and very experienced. The inn and rooms were beautiful and meticulously kept. The website shows all the rooms, which was helpful. The rooms with full beds and shared baths (shared with just two other rooms) have, in my opinion, a very fair rate for a solo traveler. And this included a full homemade breakfast, free wifi, and a wine/juice hour every day!

The weather was beautiful while I was there, so I went on lots of day trips. Got great advice from the innkeepers as well as other guests, and the inn's central location on the Cape made it easy to get to both Sandwich and Provincetown (on different days). However, with a beach just down the street, you could just bring a book and read - or read on the grounds of the inn, which has plenty of space to do so. Thank you Cindy, John, Judy, and Diane!

We recently stayed at the Nauset House Inn right after they opened for the season. It is a beautiful property, a short distance from Nauset Beach. Our room was in the carriage house and was very large, nicely furnished and decorated and had a private bath. We did see the other rooms in the carriage house and they were also large and very nice. Breakfast is served in the dining room and was delicious. The presentation, taste and service was outstanding. You have a choice of several items from the daily menu board. In the afternoon, they offer wine, juice and hors d'oevres in the commom room, but unfortunately we had other commitments and could not attend. We cannot say enough about the attentiveness and cordiality of the innkeepers, John, Cindy and Diane!! They made us feel very welcomed!

Room Tip: We did not see the rooms in the main house but we thoroughly liked our room in the carriage house.

My husband and I went to the Nauset House inn for a post labor day weekend get away. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. from the happy hour hosted each day to the world class breakfast in the morning. We walked down to nauset beach which was lovely! the only thing would day is that the entry way of our guest house was a little musty -- I am sensitive and have bad allergies, so i think it would probably not brother most people, but was noticeable to me. That being said though, this is a fantastic B&B! Wonderful breakfast!!

This Bed and Breakfast is really what B&B in New England should look like. Nice looking, very comfortable, very "homey", close to many attractions, and has many small nice things that makes your stay perfect. It's very nicely decorated with attention to details, there are plenty of reading, and the owners are really helpful with planning every small details of your stay. It's close to a beautiful beach, and to many nice restaurants. The breakfast was really nice too. It seems like the owners really makes everything to make your vacation a perfect one. I love the location, it's my favorite part of the Cape.
