Owner description: A great beach to hike, relax and soak up the natural beauty of the Cape Cod National Seashore.

The $20 entrance fee is worth every penny. The fee includes shuttle bus service to and from Coast Guard Beach. There are outdoor showers to rinse off sand and bathrooms nearby. A Cape Cod National Seashore visit is an absolute must for any Cape Cod vacationer.

My daughter now 21 wanted to retrace summers in cape cod. One of those was coast guard beach. We parked at Nickerson and rode bikes 9 miles to beach.

It was a great time. Cape cod rail trail is one of best. And final descent to beach is spectacular. We walked the mile to see nauset light house. I have come to coast guard beach for 40 years. I enjoy it every time.

Since we were only down for the weekend, we hadn't planned on a trip to Coast Guard Beach. But a bike ride turned into a ride to Coast Guard Beach.

Not a perfect beach day but it got nicer and ended up being awesome!

Parked at the Salt Pond Visitor Center and rode our bikes in to the beach. It's a two mile bike ride with twists and hills. This beach is very popular and fills up fast. Water in August was 60 and refreshing. Definitely could see spending a whole day here.

Only down side to coast guard beach is that there is no onsite parking, however there is a very convenient shuttle service. A few times we had a shuttle driver named Eric, he is a charming and informative guide, offering great insight into the area and truly making the experience, beach is very clean and well maintained.
