I spent a long weekend at the Inn at the Oaks and can't recommend it enough. My friends and I stayed in the (dog friendly) carriage house out back. The rooms were very large and comfortable, and the main house also seemed lovely. We also loved the location. It felt secluded, but was also a very short drive to Wellfleet and Provincetown, and you could walk to a bicycle rental place and great bike trail, and also to a hiking path that led out to Coast Guard Beach. The innkeeper was very friendly and inn was roomy enough for privacy during breakfast, which we liked.

I stayed in the Sail Loft, a spacious and light-filled suite. The room was very clean and very quiet. The staff was friendly and responsive to any request. Breakfast was continental, but high-quality, with a large selection of items. The inn was completely booked, but spacious and quiet enough that at times I felt like I was the only one there. The location is ideal: Eastham alone has 7 or 8 beaches, and it's minutes from Wellfleet, which has excellent restaurants, galleries, more beaches, a drive-in theater, and more. Arnold's, which has the best lobster rolls, is less than a minute away. The inn is also right across from the entrance to Cape Cod's protected national park, which has miles and miles of bike trails, walking paths, wildlife, ponds, kayaking, and more. The visitor's center alone is worth a visit.

Room Tip: Sail loft was quiet, bright, and had private entr.

We tried out this Inn because we got a living social escapes deal and decided to make a trip. Our problems started with the reservation... we tried to make one and couldn't get through. After consistent persistence, we finally talked to someone who had no actual information about the inn. We asked "which rooms have a king bed?" and were told, "yeah, I don't know... I'm going to have to familiarize myself a bit better with the website...". We finally made what we THOUGHT was a reservation, but wasn't. Even though we spelled our name MANY times, they were emailing an incorrect address. After two weeks of the run-around, we didn't get a deluxe room as we had hoped; but we finally persisted to get through and get our reservation.

When we turned up, the innkeeper was not there. Not a HUGE deal, but if we wanted to go to the bathroom... we wouldn't know where to go!
Our beds were twins (which we did expect) only had one pillow on each. When I requested an extra, they did not have any. Really? I can't have two pillows? Ok. This just means that my roommate has to listen to me snore as I will be lying a bit flatter.

We also did not receive our welcome basket detailed in the living social deal until I inquired about it at checkout. Instead of the host of local items described, there were two apples, two nature valley granola bars and water bottles. Kind of lame given the description in the living social deal.

Honestly, the people were very nice and very friendly, but we didn't get what we expected. The Inn was lovely, but not overwhelmingly impressive.

At the end of our stay, I was told it is under new ownership, so it sounds like they are working out some kinks... but kinks indeed are there.

We apologize to this guest for her problems making a reservation. We had a tremendous response to our Living Social promotion, and switched over to an answering service for the first time, and unfortunately a few calls were not handled as they should have been. We are now answering the phone at the Inn again, and providing the kind of customer service that we know people want and deserve. We have added new staff with many years of experience in the hospitality industry, and all of our staff has only one thing in mind: the satisfaction of our guests. We get many positive and glowing comments from our guests at the Inn, and when there are negative comments, we take these very seriously, and correct any problems right away.

This little Inn was a great introduction to the Cape as it was my first time here. Marsha, the Inn Keeper was hospitable and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and yet quaint. Guidance from Marsha lead me to finding the gems for good food and fun experiences even during the "off season". I enjoyed my B&B experience, which i am not always open to. As a solo traveler i found the other guests to be part of the sweet expierence as we enjoyed the fire at night. The Inn was inviting, clean, very comfortable, and will certainly call me again when i come back.

Room Tip: Marsha was open to my needs - just ask
