“Friendly, Cozy and THOSE COOKIES”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

Very clean, very friendly, very cozy. We stayed in the Captain's Room, which had an adorable desk, a clawfoot tub, and a cozy stove! Loved the white chocolate cranberry chunk cookies that greeted us upon arrival. And grab some of that granola in the morning too - if you like clusters/clumps, you'll be in heaven.

We so enjoyed our stay and the hospitality at the Inn At the Oaks. The staff was over the top accommodating and everything was just as they stated in their adds. We were totally impressed and will definitely return when we go back to the Cape hopefully this summer sometime. My daughter left a box of jewelry behind and they called to tell us they were sending it in the mail to her. I liked one of the cd's they were playing at breakfast which by the way was very good each morning and a copy of the cd was made for me without even asking. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and recommend it highly.

Room Tip: We had the whole third floor to ourselves and it was great for our purposes.

The so called 'Lighthouse Room' is located in an outbuilding which I think was a barn originally. The resulting 'room is unbelievably narrow and the wood floor is uneven and the bed and dresser filled the whole bedroom. No means of transporting luggage etc. from the parking lot to the barn. Long walk and tedious for us seniors requiring several trips each when arriving and leaving. A cheap 'Continental breakfast' was provided and the bananas in the fruit bowl were turning black. Extremely disappointing. I don't know how the rating is so high unless they rate it themselves. A discount was advertised if we booked 21 to 90 days in advance. We booked in January more than 60 days in advance but did not receive a discount. Disgustingly overpriced and the website does not truly reflect the condition of the buildings. Old; Overpriced; Overrated! .

Room Tip: Cannot do this at all.

Perhaps the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Truly pristine, immaculate. Remarkable for an older property to be this spotless. The previous reviewer who commented on the amazing beds was right - they are very, very comfortable. The inn has some lovely reading nooks too. We've enjoy a comfortable weekend and look forward to returning.

Room Tip: The Henry Beston on the second floor is quiet and convenient.

My wife & I took advantage of a 2 night stay given to us by my brother-in-law. We requested the first floor room due to my wife's knee replacements. Room was small and the bath even smaller. Everything else, however, was terrific. We used this location to scope out our plans for a 40th wedding anniversary in Falmouth. As a runner, I loved the fact we were across the street from the National Seashore access and took full advantage of that. Breakfast was plentiful. The fresh baked cookies and the hot soup and bread available between 3-7 PM were unexpected blessings.

Room Tip: Would avoid the first floor room if you're looking for space.

What a nice place, and so close to the wonderful Coast Guard Beach in Eastham. We had a great stay. The hosts were so nice to us, even getting the breakfast out late for us on our last day. There was fresh fruit, delicious scones and great coffee and tea selections. Cookies in the evening were a special treat. Our room was big and very comfortable. The house was decorated beautifully and the whole place was spotless.

Clean and charming rooms. AMAZING BEDS! Breakfast is on the high end of your "typical" continental breakfast - nothing was lacking. Very cozy sitting and dining areas; they are perfectly set up for whether you would like to meet other guests or if you would prefer to just nudge up in a little corner by yourself. All the decor is lovely. Check in was seamless... even with our late check-in! We arrived at 10pm with keys and instructions left for us in the front. Overall, a great experience. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because there are no "extra" amenities (at least not in the room I stayed in). I.e; small shower, no bathtub, small tv. However... this isn't the type of inn for those things! This is a place to enjoy your company, the quiet, and the cape.
