I thought the food OK and over-priced, although my husband enjoyed the Cod Piccatta. I ordered the fish & chips. The fish was flakey and lightly fried but pretty bland. Malted vinegar would have improved it some but the service was pretty neglectful, despite a seemingly slow evening. I will not return.

We met friends for dinner at Stewart's a few weeks ago. It was the first time for us and repeat for our friends, who had recommended it as a fun, inexpensive place for dinner with good food and great service. They were not wrong! To the unanitiated, it appears like the typical Cape roadside restaurant catering to tourists with kids who might not have the time to linger over a meal. There is outside seating, along with chairs surrounding a cozy fire pit as you walk in. We opted to eat inside as it was still a bit cool, and were immediately greeted when we walked in the door. Our server promptly appeared after we were seated and provided us with the evening's menu specials. We were only mildly disappointed with the menu - it didn't match what was posted online, which had many more non-fish offerings than were actually available. One of our party was not a big fish eater, but did find something that worked quite nicely for him. We asked the server, who was apologetic about the menu disappointment, and she explained that they were in the process of revising the on line menu for the tourist season. So, anyone reading this who is planning on visiting the area from the 4th through Labor Day and pulls up the menu should be able to actually order anything they see listed. Service was excellent! Our menu selections were fresh and prepared well with all things hot being hot and all things chilled being chilled. The restaurant is family friendly, with both dining room and bar area seating inside. I would definitely go back!

The seafood was fresh, prepared well, and presented nicely. We sat outside on a picnic table that enhanced the casual experience. The traffic on Route 6 wasn't too heavy while we were eating. Otherwise, it would have greatly spoiled the atmosphere.

Good food. Good value. Convenient. But not at all picturesque.

If you are looking for tasty/fresh seafood that is filling and not overly expensive you should consider this restaurant. The servings are large, the seafood fresh and everything was served hot and quickly. The owners took the time to come to our table and ask about our meals, the service and our level of satisfaction. They appeared truely interested in our opinions. It is casual and unpretentious.

Once upon a time, this location had the Lobster Pool, which was great but its owners gave it up. The food at Stewarts is uninteresting and there is no "vibe" to the place. I can't understand how a poor seafood restaurant can be next door to (in the same building as) an excellent seafood market.
