We ride our bikes from bayside and enjoy the oceanside. Parking seems to fill up quickly and there ends up being a line of cars at the gate waiting for someone to leave. Our cottage is close enough to ride from but there is a school on the same road as the beach with parking where you can ride or walk in from as well. The changing area and rest rooms are clean and well maintained. The walkway to the beach is nice with a small deck for gazing. The stairs down are long but the beach is very clean and wide. There are small rocks in the surf so water shoes are recommended. We usually see a seal or two go by.

Nice wide, clean beach. Once you go past a certain point, you can bring your dogs as long as they are on leash

This beach isn't for everyone, but we really love this beach. Yes, there is limited parking and there is quite a climb down the stairs to the beach but it is what makes this a nice, less crowded beach. The rocks are an issue so bring Tevas or water shoes but the sand is clean and great for making sand sculptures and castles. Plan on arriving early for your day at the beach ( we usually arrived before 9 am or earlier). Don't forget to pack your cooler with drinks, snacks and lunch as there are no concession stands but it adds to the cleanliness of the beach as everyone cleans their areas of garbage before leaving. The other alternative is to go later in the day and have a picnic supper on the beach. Either way this is a lovely beach along the National Seashore.

Head to Marconi or Coast Guard before here. Recently the tide has changed and the water is loaded with rocks. (Besides the parking issues.). Marconi is a great place to go, nice beach easy to park, great waves. Coast Guard is fine also, but you have to shuttle to the beach

This is one of the cool spots we found with an actual fully functioning Lighthouse ! We arrived after 6 pm, where people were just heading out and a night crew of beach-goers were arriving. Though we recommend bringing bug spray, it is the perfect time to relax, play some volleyball, throw a frisbee or just walk the beach as the sun goes down. While we were there, a bridal party was setting up for a bonfire 100 feet past the protected beach. As darkness started to set in, the lighthouse beamed it's red and white lights, alerting sea-goers of its presence. DEFINITELY recommend visiting this beach !
