“Great Chat”
Review of Eastham Windmill

Reviewed 26 September 2013

We enjoyed conversing with Mr. Jim. He has extensive knowledge about the windmill history in Cape Cod and of NYC as well.
It was fascinating spending time within the windmill and going back in time.

The Eastham Windmill is beautiful to see and so interesting when you can go inside to observe the details of how the mill actually works. They have a Windmill Festival every year on the weekend after Labor Day. They have lots of food, entertainment, runs and even a parade on Sunday.

I had gone there with my husband and 1 yr old daughter and they had a small festival which made it even better. Great place for kids to run around and the mill is so cute small but very pleasant to see.

If you're in Eastham, you should really check out this windmill. Built in 1680 (!), it has been lovingly restored. Make sure to climb to the top floor.

I grew up visiting Eastham every summer and was delighted to find the windmill open during a recent day trip with my children. The staff was very friendly and informative. Fun little side trip in a nice little park - and it's free.
