“Fabulous find!”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

My mother and I stayed at this wonderful B&B in May 2014. We absolutely adored Marie and Pascal as they were very gracious and hospitable and really seemed to go out of their way to make our stay in Normandy truly memorable. Our room on the ground floor was spacious and cozy and I loved our french doors that opened out into a beautiful garden. Breakfast was a feast with fresh breads and croissants, homemade jams of at least 12 flavors and eggs cooked to your liking. Marie helped us out and did our laundry as we had been traveling for over 2 weeks and really needed some clean clothes. This was really so much appreciated. They were eager to recommend places to visit, restaurants that were delicious and activities that we would enjoy. Nothing was too much for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in every aspect and can't wait to return again in the near future.

We picked this guest house as the reviews seemed good and we were very pleased that we did. What a find! Our hosts were a lovely couple and could not do enough for us. Our ground floor room was delightful, with a very comfortable bed, and the furnishings were excellent and obviously not cheaply done. Breakfast was the best I have ever had on the Continent, with a huge basket of assorted breads, about 10 different home made jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and as much coffee or tea as you could want. We were also offered eggs or meat but couldn't find enough room for them! The district is very quiet, beside a small stream, and we were about 15 minutes from Honfleur. Parking was just opposite. At Euro 100 a night it is not the cheapest but well worth the money.

This is a great bed and breakfast with lovely spacious rooms and very very welcoming owners. We stayed in the Prunier room which had triple aspect windows, a really comfortable bed,a great bathroom and a terrace. Pascal and Marie could not have done more to make our four night stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were amazing and Pascal rustled up delicious scrambled eggs with salmon one morning - just for a change.Marie had a lovely way with her and it seemed that she really enjoyed doing her utmost to give us the best experience possible. The weather was horrible and we appreciated the open fire and the smell of wood smoke which came from a massive burning log. Aux Rives de Honfleur is about 10 minutes drive from Honfleur and is in a very quiet road which may not suit everyone. It suited us well, however, and we would highly recommend this B and B to everyone.

We stayed three nights last summer in room Cerisier, and it was absolutely beautiful, very big, nice decorated and with shelves full of books. The breakfast that we had there was also amazing, with home made jams of different fruits. I would definitely recommend this B&B to relax, and to discover the area of Normandie.

We stayed at Aux Rives de Honfleur one our first night on a 12 day trip through Normandy and Bretagne. Pascal, the host, was an absolutely wonderful host and the room (Chambre Prunier) was very nicely appointed in a French country style with a very comfortable bed and a lovely adjoining terrace. The house was recently renovated so there is a great balance between a traditional and new. The breakfast was delicious and Pascal dedicated a lot of time to make great recommendations for dining and sightseeing. Parking is easy, dining options are close, and the house is in Normandy, not sure why TripAdvisor points otherwise.

Room Tip: Chambre Prunier has a balcony and is on the second floor

Marie and Pascal have been lovingly restoring and redecorating this beautiful home for over three years. They are absolutely charming, as well as warm, kind, and considerate. Whether for restaurant recommendations, directions, or any other information, they seemed delighted to be of assistance. I was very tired and a bit under the weather the morning after we arrived and decided to stay in bed to rest for a while longer rather than going to breakfast. When my husband advised Marie of this, she insisted on preparing a tray for me so I could have breakfast in bed. Breakfast (especially Marie's delicious homemade preserves) was a real treat and helped perk me up. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights in the Figuier Room, a tastefully decorated room with en suite bath that is on the ground floor and overlooks the patio and garden. Marie and Pascal were such delightful hosts that it was difficult to leave. We hope to return to Aux Rives de Honfleur and see them again in the future!

Marie and Pascal greeted us at the door upon our arrival after a long day's drive with smiles on their faces, a crackling fire and hot tea with calvados. They were very warm and helpful during our stay of only one night. They sent us to the Honfleur Harbor which is truly beautiful and quaint. Surely, we will return to this warm and cozy B&B on our next trip to France.

And breakfast was lovely and complete with homemade fruit preserves made in Marie 's well stocked kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings were complete and beautiful. I would recommend this property to the most discriminating traveller.

Thanks Marie and Pascal for a lovely visit to your "HOME AWAY FROM HOME".
