Our 4th of July weekend at the Hob Nob was everything we hoped for. Delicious breakfast on the patio (love the scones!), watching the parade from the front porch with complimentary beverages and treats, and the really nice bikes that made getting to South Beach so easy. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. Staff were very courteous and attentive.

Loved it from beginning to end. Cheerful greeting at the front desk. Attention to our reservation requests. Attentive help taking our luggage to our very attractive room. Very informative suggestions for dinner reservations. Very good advice from island loving staff! Delicous breakfast the following two mornings during our stay. Great bikes with maps and yummy picnic prepared in their kitchen. for us.........Lovely afternoon tea. Wonderful antiques and cozy surroundings. Would definitely return and may even take the whole hotel for a corporate retreat. I hear they do those really well. Highly recommend this charming property

A reservation was made well in advance, relying on hotel personnel to recommend the right rooms (we were booking several rooms for wedding guests). After several calls, touching base with hotel staff, upon arrival, the set up was not what was discussed. Instead of trying to be helpful and sort out the reservation clerk's error (yes, they did acknowledge it was their error), they held their ground that they could nothing for us. What an attitude from a small hotel that charges Ritz-Carlton rates. The hotel was clear on their policy of not issuing refunds, but snuck in extra charges for what they said were extra guests, when the number of people we were booking for never changed. The owner basically told us we could take our business elsewhere if we didn't agree to the last minute up-charge, telling us, "This is how we do things on the vineyard." Cute room, food looks pretty, but not tasty and served cold. Staff tried to make up for owner's rudeness, but too little too late. But we will be taking proprietor's advice and we are booking elsewhere this year.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend. We were not greeted upon check in, we walked around a bit before the gentleman at the desk asked if he could help us. We then checked in and were told where our room was on the top floor. After I said can you possibly show us to our room, he did. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and cleaned everyday with fresh linens. Our issue was the staff. When we sat down for breakfast with other guests we were not attended to as the other guest were, we over heard the staff give a lay of the land ie. Restaurant suggestions tourist spots etc. without being asked. We were not given any suggestions at all. The wait staff was lack lustre, by bringing us the wrong order and after being told it was wrong didn't offer to bring the right order. We just kept the wrong one. I think that this Inn carter's to elitist non people of color. I would not suggest staying here if you do not fit that category.

My husband and I loved our recent stay at the Hob Knob. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our 10 year anniversary in Martha's Vineyard. Diane, the hotel manager, was extremely welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless. In fact, everything throughout the hotel was extremely clean. We really enjoyed the sitting area on the front porch. It was the perfect place to relax after a busy day of shopping and exploring. Everyday, we looked forward to waking up and having the delicious farm to table breakfast. I commend Diane and her entire staff. No details are missed when it comes to providing top notch service and accommodations on the island. We can't wait to stay here again.

This is a sweet inn but I think a bit pricey for the size of the room and the fact that every time we opened our door we could smell bacon. It's a quick walk to the restaurants and shops in Edgartown. There were plenty of places to curl up with a book inside or out and the tea in the afternoon was a nice touch. There was breakfast every morning which I didn't have, maybe if I was a breakfast person it he bacon smell wouldn't have bothered me. At night there was a noise that was annoying, there was a white noise machine in the room for our use. Not sure for the motor sounds we could hear or because the walls were thin. I could hear a woman reading a story to a child one night. We have stayed at the harbor view for years and decided to try something different. Not sure what we will do in the future.

Room Tip: Wish I had a chance to see the size of some of the other rooms, you might want to ask if they vary.

17 room pretty boutique hotel- rooms are perfect and private. Patios, porches and gardens quintessentially mv. Staff welcoming and friendly. Walk to downtown edgartown- bike to south beach or oak bluffs. Have always gone the Harbor View Hotel route- now sold on the Hob Nob. Breakfast - delicious!
