This inn is close to the main street. The big attraction is that the Inn in quaint and every room is different. Historical fires guests in the house were Daniel Webster, Chas Sumner and Nath'l Hawthorne. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves breakfast inside or outside in there enclosed area. Safe and secure.

Room Tip: Have stayed in the room directly across from the office on the main floor. It handled three adults and it was quiet.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Edgartown Inn on a week long visit to the Vineyard. A restored Captain's home, my room evoking the seafaring era, was spacious and comfortable. Convenient location near the harbor and the shops.

I first visited the Edgartown Inn back in 1978 during my first visit to The Vineyard. Loved it then and glad to see it still has the charm as the first time I visited over 35 years ago. The inn has been lovingly maintained. Though it's not included in the room rate, the breakfast is a must.
Great location in the center of Edgartown within steps of a dozen of the finest restaurants on the island. Nothing could be sweeter than sitting on the front porch watching the comings and goings of downtown Edgartown. Can't wait to return!

Edgartown Inn was a really great stay, just wish it was for longer. The house is exactly the type of place you want to stay on the vineyard. Great interior. Room was very clean. Lovely porch with loungers. Location is unbeatable for the price. Sandi at front desk was very nice and obliging! would recommend a stay here to anyone!

My friend and i stayed here this weekend and had a mixed experience. We were on the top floor in the kings room and it was charming with a nice love seat to sit on and a very large window that overlooked the street but also had a tiny view of the ocean.
We found the inn keeper a little snooty and got a lecture on closing the front door when we checked in. The inn is in a great location, right down town and very close to all the shops and restaurants.
The weather wasn't that great so we spent more time than we would have expected in our bedroom which apparently disrupted the cleaning lady's schedule. she knocked at our door at around 12.30 and when we told her we would be staying in for a while, she told us to hurry up as she would be leaving at around 1! The next day she came knocking on our door again to let us know she needed to clean our room. I have never experienced this type of service in an inn before and travel a lot.
It has a great porch.
Also, it would be really nice to be able to get at least a free cup of coffee in the morning.
