“Great sandwich shop, not a tourist trap”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2013

Where else can you get good sandwiches with meat piled high for a normal price (not typical in Edgartown or MV for that matter?) You don't go here for atmosphere. Get your sandwiches "to go" and eat on the top of Memorial Wharf for the best view in the harbor. Fortunately, the place remains the same year-after-year. Don't change a thing.

“Best hot corned beef I have ever had”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2013

The staff here are busy, but personable. The choices were difficult, but since I cannot get a good corned beef sandwich at home, I went for it. I had the hot corned beef on Rye with medium mustard and Swiss.Truly, the corned beef had no gristle, no fat. It was excellent.

The place is pretty small and the drinks are purchased out of a vending machine for $2 a bottle. There are no restrooms, which surprised me, but not far from there (maybe 2-3 blocks) was the Visitor Center on Church Street with restrooms, a little store, and a post office.

“There are better places to eat”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2013

Fresh off the ferry and not in the mood to look too far for food we stopped in here. For what we paid, we could have done better somewhere else. Food, staff, atmosphere... everything was poor to average. This was my only regret on this trip.

“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2013

Edgartown Deli is a hole in the wall. We stumbled into it and it was great! Good, quick meal. I will definitely go back. The owner and staff were very friendly. We were only there for lunch so not sure about breakfast or dinner service.
